2026 Kimera EVO37 TopGear Edition Celebrates a Milestone

The 2026 Kimera EVO37 TopGear Edition arrives at this year's Goodwood Festival of Speed carrying more meaning than another special edition. It marks the end of an important chapter for the Italian manufacturer while recognizing the car that helped establish Kimera as one of the industry's most respected boutique performance brands.

Five years after introducing the original EVO37 at Goodwood, Kimera returns to the same event with several major announcements. While much of the attention falls on the new K39 prototype and the EVO38 Martini Collection, the EVO37 TopGear Edition quietly serves as one of the festival's most personal celebrations for the company.

A Tribute to an Award Winning EVO37

The EVO37 TopGear Edition was created to celebrate the model's Performance Car of the Year 2026 title awarded by Top Gear. Rather than introducing an entirely new version, Kimera describes this car as the highest stage of technical development reached throughout the EVO37 project.

The company will hand over the special edition during Goodwood to Max Girardo, a longtime friend of Kimera and one of the brand's key representatives in the United Kingdom.

The End of the Original EVO37 Story

The Goodwood event also marks the completion of the original EVO37 production run. Kimera confirms that two additional customer cars will be delivered during the festival, bringing the planned total of 37 production examples to completion.

Alongside those cars are the exclusive Martini 7 series and several individually commissioned one-off models built to commemorate significant moments in the company's history. The TopGear Edition now joins that select group.

Built on Motorsport Inspiration

Kimera says the EVO37 represented a modern reinterpretation of one of the most recognizable rear-wheel-drive rally machines of the 1980s. Instead of creating a direct replica, the company reimagined the concept using contemporary engineering while preserving the character that made the original competition car memorable.

That same philosophy later inspired the all-wheel-drive EVO38 before evolving into the all-new K39, the first model designed entirely by Kimera from the ground up.

Looking Ahead While Honouring the Past

Although the EVO37 TopGear Edition celebrates the brand's past, Goodwood also signals where Kimera is heading next. The K39 prototype makes its first public dynamic appearance at the Festival of Speed as development continues toward customer production scheduled for early next year. The company says work on the EVO38 will continue as well, with another exclusive interpretation of the EVO37 planned before the end of the year.

For Kimera, the 2026 Festival of Speed becomes more than another exhibition. It closes the chapter that began with the EVO37 while opening the door to the brand's next generation of performance cars.
