2026 Kia EV4 Earth Australian Version

By Lorenzo Bianchi

  • EV4 Earth delivers Kia’s longest WLTP range to date at 612km.

  • Long-range battery and refined specification place it at the centre of the EV4 range.

  • Design and interior details balance efficiency with a more upmarket feel than EV4 Air.

The Middle Ground of Kia’s EV4 Strategy

The 2026 Kia EV4 Earth Australian Version arrives as the most balanced expression of Kia’s new electric sedan. The Earth grade is positioned as the long-range, daily option for those who want the greatest distance between charges without going into flagship pricing, sandwiched between the entry-level Air and the range-topping GT-Line.

Priced at $59,190 RRP, the EV4 Earth expands Kia’s local EV portfolio alongside the EV3, EV5, EV6, and EV9, reinforcing the brand’s intent to offer electric options across multiple body styles and price points. Within the EV4 family, Earth is clearly the volume play, combining extended range with a more considered level of equipment

Aerodynamic Design With Subtle Differentiation

Like all EV4 variants, the Earth grade is shaped around efficiency. The long-tail sedan profile is not decorative. It delivers a drag coefficient of 0.23Cd, officially making the EV4 the most aerodynamic Kia to date. Active air flaps in the front bumper adjust automatically to manage cooling and airflow, contributing directly to the vehicle’s range figures.

Visually, the EV4 Earth sits apart from the Air through detail rather than silhouette. It uses the same multi-face reflector LED headlights but adds larger 19-inch alloy wheels, filling the arches more convincingly and giving the car a slightly more planted stance. Matte black exterior detailing and a geometric front grille maintain a technical, restrained look that aligns with the Earth grade’s efficiency-led brief

Interior Focused on Space and Ease

Inside, the EV4 Earth continues Kia’s ‘home-like’ interior theme. The cabin is clean and calm, anchored by the Integrated Panoramic Display combining a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, a 5-inch climate control interface, and a 12.3-inch multimedia touchscreen. Physical controls remain for frequently used functions, avoiding unnecessary reliance on touch-only inputs.

Earth models combine cloth and synthetic leather upholstery in a black and light grey colour scheme, lifting the perceived quality over the Air without pushing into GT-Line territory. Standard features include Kia Connect app functionality, Over-the-Air update capability, and wireless and wired Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Interior Vehicle-to-Load functionality is standard, with an external V2L adaptor also included on Earth models

Long Range Electric Powertrain

The defining feature of the EV4 Earth is its long-range battery. An 81.4kWh lithium-ion NCM pack powers a single front-mounted electric motor producing 150kW and 283Nm. Kia quotes a WLTP driving range of up to 612km, the longest of any Kia electric vehicle to date.

Performance is measured rather than aggressive. The EV4 Earth accelerates from 0 to 100km/h in 7.8 seconds, placing emphasis on smooth delivery and efficiency. DC fast charging from 10 to 80 per cent can be completed in as little as 31 minutes using a 350kW charger. Like the rest of the EV4 range, the Earth has undergone local ride and handling tuning for Australian roads, focusing on urban comfort and predictable responses

Where the EV4 Earth Fits

The 2026 Kia EV4 Earth Australian Version is positioned as the quiet achiever of the EV4 lineup. It does not chase visual drama or headline performance figures. Instead, it offers range, space, and refinement in a shape designed to work efficiently day after day. For buyers tracking EV trends but still prioritising practicality, Earth reads as the most complete version of Kia’s new electric sedan.
