2026 Kia Carnival High Loop Adds More Space For Families

For many buyers, the biggest reason to choose a Kia Carnival isn't technology or performance. It's space.

That's exactly what Kia is focusing on with the launch of the 2026 Kia Carnival High Loop, a new addition to the Carnival range that puts passenger comfort at the center of the conversation. Positioned between the standard Carnival and the more expensive Hi Limousine, the newcomer aims to deliver much of the same roomy feel without moving quite as far up the price ladder.

The Difference Is Obvious The Moment You See It

The name tells most of the story.

Unlike the regular Carnival, the Carnival High Loop features a raised roof that immediately changes the vehicle's proportions. The roofline sits noticeably higher than before, giving the large RV a more commanding appearance while creating extra room where passengers will appreciate it most.

According to Kia, overall height increases by 270 mm compared with the standard model. The roof itself uses the same steel construction found in the Carnival Hi Limousine, helping maintain durability while creating a noticeably more open cabin environment.

The exterior receives a few unique touches as well. Chrome trim along the raised roof section emphasizes the vehicle's length, while a large LED high-mounted stop lamp improves visibility and gives the rear end a more upscale look.

More Headroom Changes The Cabin Experience

The biggest benefit isn't something measured on a spec sheet.

It's the feeling of space once passengers climb inside.

Second- and third-row occupants gain additional headroom, making the cabin feel airier and less confined. For families taking long trips or businesses using the Carnival for passenger transport, that extra breathing room could be one of the model's biggest selling points.

Kia has also added suede material to the headliner, giving the interior a softer and more lounge-like atmosphere. Rear passengers benefit from dedicated LED reading lamps, a small feature that can make a noticeable difference during evening journeys.

Familiar Powertrains Remain Available

Under the skin, things stay familiar.

The Carnival High Loop will be offered with Kia's 3.5-liter gasoline engine and the brand's 1.6-liter turbo hybrid powertrain. Buyers will initially be able to choose a nine-seat configuration, while a seven-seat model is scheduled to join the lineup later this year.

Exterior color choices are limited to Aurora Black Pearl and Snow White Pearl, paired with a Cotton Beige interior.

Filling The Gap In The Carnival Family

What's interesting about the Carnival High Loop is where it sits within the lineup.

Not everyone needs the full luxury treatment of the Carnival Hi Limousine, but many customers still want the extra sense of space that model provides. The Carnival High Loop appears designed specifically for those buyers.

By focusing on passenger comfort, increased headroom, and a more approachable price point, Kia has created another option within a lineup that already dominates the large RV segment in Korea. Sometimes a few extra inches of space can make a bigger difference than any new technology feature.
