The 2026 KGM Motors Musso EV arrives as the company’s first electric ute, and the design reflects the significance of that step. Its proportions stay close to the familiar Musso, but the detailing signals an EV-forward direction. The sculptured bonnet, LED headlights, and dot-pattern LED daytime running lights give the front end a high-tech character, supported by a three-dimensional black grille and silver skid plate for visual weight.

Along the side, the Musso EV maintains a cohesive, almost SUV-like flow between cabin and tub. The bold wheel arches and door garnishes push it toward the more rugged end of the segment, while the C-pillar integrates a sail-plane element and the “Rhino” emblem—both nods to the model’s heritage of durability and strength. At the rear, the debossed KGM logo and LED combination lamps define a modern, purposeful look.

Cabin Layout and Technology

Inside, the Musso EV introduces the brand’s Slim & Wide concept. A panoramic 12.3-inch digital cluster pairs with a matching 12.3-inch center touchscreen, both running KGM’s new Athena 2.0 system. The interface appears cleaner and noticeably quicker in press imagery. Premium materials lift the cabin’s presentation, while heated and ventilated front seats bring unexpected comfort to a segment often focused on utility. Rear passengers get their own set of upgrades, including adjustable 60/40 seats, heating on outer positions, and generous headroom measuring 1,002 mm.

Practicality and Everyday Usability

KGM positions the Musso EV as a lifestyle-leaning ute, and the practicality supports that message. The tray carries over the Musso’s dimensions and includes eight tie-down hooks, tub lighting, and a standard molded liner extending over the top edge for added protection. Inside, the second row offers more width and legroom than many mid-size SUVs, while an 80 mm sliding range and 32-degree reclining angle improve comfort on longer trips. A self-levelling rear suspension system automatically maintains ride height when towing or hauling—an important asset for work use and weekend gear alike.

Electric Platform and Driving Range

The Musso EV runs an 80.6 kWh LFP blade battery designed for durability and heat resistance. The 2WD variant uses a 152 kW, 339 Nm front motor, while the AWD model adds a rear motor for a combined 266 kW and 630 Nm. Range is rated at 420 km for 2WD and 380 km for AWD under WLTP testing. Regenerative braking offers three levels via steering-wheel paddles, and DC fast charging at up to 300 kW can replenish the battery from 20 to 80 percent in roughly 31 minutes. Vehicle-to-Load capability supports powering tools or campsite appliances.
