2026 Hennessey VelociRaptor SUV Expedition
By Lorenzo Bianchi June 10, 2026
Hennessey has introduced the VelociRaptor SUV Expedition based on the Ford Expedition Tremor.
The SUV features a two inch suspension lift, all terrain tires, and Brembo front brakes.
Power comes from Ford's twin turbocharged 3.5 liter EcoBoost V6 with 440 horsepower.
Rugged Styling Builds On Expedition Tremor Foundations
Hennessey has expanded its VelociRaptor lineup with a new full size SUV based on the Ford Expedition Tremor. Called the 2026 Hennessey VelociRaptor SUV Expedition, the model takes the familiar three row family SUV formula and adds a more off road focused appearance along with several hardware upgrades.
The images released with the announcement show a noticeably tougher stance than the standard Expedition. A revised front bumper, steel skid plates, and dedicated off road lighting help distinguish the SUV from its Ford counterpart. Dark finish wheels and all terrain tires further reinforce its intended purpose.
Lifted Suspension Changes The Stance
One of the most visible modifications is the suspension setup. Hennessey has fitted a two inch lift, increasing ground clearance and giving the SUV a taller, more planted appearance. Combined with upgraded all terrain tires mounted on 20 inch Hennessey wheels, the changes are aimed at improving capability away from paved roads.
Brembo front brakes are also part of the package. While the company focuses heavily on off road use, the braking upgrade suggests attention was also given to maintaining confidence during highway driving and long distance travel.
Familiar EcoBoost Power Remains Under The Hood
Unlike some previous Hennessey projects that dramatically increase output, the VelociRaptor SUV Expedition retains Ford's twin turbocharged 3.5 liter EcoBoost V6. The engine produces 440 horsepower and 510 lb ft of torque according to the company.
Hennessey describes the setup as a balance between performance and everyday usability. Keeping the factory powertrain also preserves the long distance comfort and drivability expected from a large family SUV.
Three Rows And Everyday Practicality
Despite the visual and chassis changes, practicality remains a major part of the package. The VelociRaptor SUV Expedition retains its three row layout, providing space for passengers, luggage, and family duties. Power sidesteps help with access to the raised cabin, particularly after the suspension lift.
Each example receives a serial numbered interior plaque, highlighting the limited production nature of the vehicle. Hennessey says production will remain extremely limited and sales will be handled through authorized Hennessey Ford dealers. A three year, 36,000 mile warranty is included.
For buyers looking for a larger alternative to the Ford Bronco Raptor or other off road focused SUVs, the VelociRaptor SUV Expedition brings added capability while retaining the size and versatility of a full size three row vehicle.
