2026 Haval H7 Australian Version

The Haval H7 goes on sale in Australia in mid-October 2026, priced from under $50,000 driveaway.
Hybrid and plug-in hybrid versions will be available from launch, both featuring GWM's Hi4 technology.
Boxy styling, upright proportions and rugged design cues separate the H7 visually from more streamlined mid-size SUVs.
The 2026 Haval H7 Australian Version will officially reach showrooms in mid-October, giving GWM another entrant in Australia's crowded mid-size SUV market. The H7 made its local debut at Everything Electric in Sydney and will launch with both hybrid and plug-in hybrid powertrains.
Pricing is equally central to the Australian launch. GWM says the new SUV will start from under $50,000 driveaway, although final pricing, grades and detailed specifications have not yet been released.
Boxy Styling Gives The H7 A Different Shape
Rather than following the smoother profiles common among current mid-size SUVs, the H7 adopts a noticeably more upright appearance. GWM describes a boxy exterior with strong body lines and rugged design cues, while maintaining the space and practicality expected of a family SUV.
The overall approach suggests GWM wants the H7 to occupy the more adventure-oriented side of the medium SUV category [Inference], rather than simply duplicating the positioning of its existing Haval models.
Hybrid And Plug In Hybrid Models Confirmed
Two electrified configurations will be offered when sales begin. Buyers will be able to choose between a hybrid and a plug-in hybrid, with both using GWM's Hi4 technology and intelligent all-wheel-drive capability.
GWM says the system is intended to support both on-road and off-road driving. Engine capacity, battery size, electric range and combined outputs have not yet been disclosed for the Australian H7, however, so overseas specifications should not be assumed to apply.
H7 Joins A Growing Haval SUV Range
The H7 will sit alongside the Haval H6 and H6GT, as well as the forthcoming Jolion Max. GWM sees the newcomer as another way to expand its coverage of the medium SUV segment rather than replacing an existing model.
With a sub-$50,000 driveaway starting point confirmed, the H7's final positioning will depend heavily on the equipment and performance attached to each grade. Those details, together with final Australian pricing and complete powertrain specifications, are due to be announced in the weeks before its mid-October 2026 launch.
