Prestige Graphite trim introduces dark chrome and gloss black accents.
21-inch dark wheels paired with red brake calipers.
Nappa leather, suede inserts, and carbon fiber interior trim.
A subtle shift that changes the overall tone
The 2026 Genesis GV70 Prestige Graphite doesn’t try to turn the SUV into something else.
It keeps the same foundation. Same shape, same proportions, same overall role. What it does is adjust the mood. The changes are mostly visual, but they’re enough to give the GV70 a slightly sharper edge than before.
It feels more like a variation in character than a new version.
Exterior details do most of the work
From a distance, it still reads as a GV70.
Look closer, and the differences start to build. The brighter elements have been toned down, replaced by darker finishes that sit more comfortably with the SUV’s shape.
The 21-inch dark metallic wheels stand out first. They fill the arches properly, and the red brake calipers behind them add a bit of contrast without drawing too much attention.
Gloss black mirror caps and dark chrome accents take the place of lighter trim pieces. It’s not a dramatic change, but it pulls the whole design together in a slightly more restrained way.
The new color options also play their part. Ceres Blue Matte and Bering Blue bring deeper tones into the mix, while Makalu Gray and Uyuni White remain for a more familiar look.
Proportions unchanged, but the stance feels different
There’s no change to the actual dimensions.
But the way the vehicle sits visually does shift a little. The darker wheels and trim reduce the visual height and give the GV70 a more planted feel.
It’s one of those changes that’s easier to notice over time rather than immediately.
Interior adds contrast without overcomplicating things
Step inside, and the changes are more noticeable.
The Prestige Graphite trim introduces Ultramarine Nappa leather seats with suede inserts. It’s a combination that adds texture without feeling overly busy.
Carbon fiber trim replaces the usual finishes across the cabin. It’s used sparingly, but enough to change the tone from soft luxury to something slightly more performance-leaning.
There are a few smaller touches as well. The headrests carry embossed Genesis logos, and the system startup animation has been reworked to match the trim.
None of it feels overdone. It’s just a different take on the same space.
No changes under the surface
Mechanically, the GV70 Prestige Graphite stays as it is.
Genesis hasn’t introduced new powertrain options or performance updates with this trim. It continues with the existing engine lineup depending on the market.
That keeps the focus firmly on design and interior feel.
Still built around everyday use
The practical side of the GV70 remains untouched.
Interior space, usability, and general comfort carry over without change. The updates don’t interfere with how the vehicle is used day to day, which is probably the point.
This isn’t about adding complexity. It’s about refining what’s already there.
A quieter addition to the lineup
The 2026 Genesis GV70 Prestige Graphite sits as an additional option rather than a replacement.
It gives buyers a different visual direction to choose from, one that leans darker and slightly more focused without stepping too far away from the original design.
It will make its first public appearance at the New York International Auto Show, with further details on availability expected later.
It doesn’t try to stand out loudly.
But it does enough to feel distinct once you spend a bit of time with it.
