Genesis is extending its Prestige Black treatment to the 2026 Genesis G90 Prestige Black, bringing the brand’s most dramatic styling package to its flagship sedan. Previously exclusive to Korea, this darkened aesthetic is now confirmed for customers in the U.S. and Canada, joining the G80, GV80, and GV80 Coupe in debuting the package for the 2026 model year. The G90 carries the theme with the confidence expected of a large luxury sedan, using contrast sparingly and leaning into surfaces rather than ornamentation.

Exterior Design Focused on Darkened Precision

On the outside, the G90 Prestige Black adopts a full suite of blacked-out elements: the bumper, radiator grille, emblem, daylight opening molding, and rear fascia all take on the darker finish. Even the headlamp inner bezels are treated to the same blackout theme, keeping the front of the sedan visually uniform. The ADAS radar cover also receives a unique darkened pattern, giving the technology integration a more discreet look.

The sedan rides on 21-inch black alloy wheels, newly designed for the North American market and fitted with floating center caps. In photos, the larger wheel size shifts the G90’s stance slightly lower, emphasizing its long hood and upright proportions. Vik Black and Uyuni White, the two colors in the Prestige Black palette, were selected for their respective textural depths. Uyuni White is influenced by Bolivia's salt flats, while Vik Black has a metallic sheen reminiscent of volcanic Icelandic beaches.

Refined Cabin Materials Using a Single Theme

The interior of the G90 Prestige Black uses an Obsidian Black Monotone cabin theme that emphasizes texture and depth over contrast.Seating surfaces are finished in black semi-aniline Nappa leather with model-specific quilting. The centerpiece of the cabin is the Black Ash open-pore wood, here detailed with a brass-colored G-Matrix inlay, adding subtle visual warmth without breaking the monochrome flow.

Every tactile control—HVAC switches, multimedia dials, steering wheel buttons, door handles—is finished in black, while the speaker grilles receive an anodized black treatment. Even the key fobs are exclusive to the Prestige Black trim. A dedicated welcome and goodbye animation appears on the LCD screens, accompanied by a matched infotainment theme.

The G90 Prestige Black is positioned as the most design-focused interpretation of the flagship sedan, offering a factory-built aesthetic that mirrors the growing interest in bespoke-style finishes.
