2026 Geely Boyue REV

By Lorenzo Bianchi

  • Range-extended EV system with a claimed 375 km electric range and 1,525 km combined range.

  • Clean, closed-grille exterior design with fastback proportions and full-width lighting.

  • Familiar but updated cabin with a large floating screen, column shifter, and Flyme Sound audio.

First Look and Market Positioning

Official images of the 2026 Geely Boyue REV were released on February 9, confirming the model’s role as a compact SUV positioned squarely within the fast-moving electrified crossover segment. The Boyue nameplate already carries weight in Geely’s domestic lineup, and the REV variant signals a clear shift toward extended-range electrification rather than full battery dependence.

The range-extended setup places the Boyue REV in direct conversation with other Chinese-market compact SUVs using similar architectures, aimed at buyers seeking EV driving without daily charging anxiety.

Exterior Design and Proportions

Visually, the Boyue REV departs from the conventional internal-combustion look of earlier Boyue models. The front end adopts a closed grille, consistent with its new-energy positioning, topped by a continuous light strip and flanked by segmented lighting elements. A black lower protective plate and large air intakes add depth, giving the nose a grounded, slightly aggressive stance rather than a purely minimalist EV face.

In profile, the SUV leans into a fastback silhouette. With the help of well-defined waist and shoulder lines that highlight forward motion, the roofline gently tapers. Low-drag wheels have been installed in place of traditional door handles, suggesting a sensible compromise between functionality and everyday usability. At the rear, a full-width taillight bar, split roof spoiler, subtle ducktail, and concealed exhaust outlets complete a design that feels intentionally modern without chasing novelty.

Interior Layout and Technology

Inside, the Boyue REV retains a layout familiar to recent Geely products. A large floating central touchscreen dominates the dashboard, paired with a column-mounted shifter that frees up space in the center console. The armrest area integrates wireless phone charging alongside physical buttons, a notable choice at a time when many interiors are becoming entirely touch-dependent.

Audio duties are handled by a Flyme Sound system, and the presence of headrest speakers points to a more immersive in-car experience, particularly for navigation prompts and calls.

Powertrain and Driving Focus

Geely confirms a range-extended electric powertrain, delivering a claimed pure electric driving range of 375 km and a combined range of up to 1,525 km. The Boyue REV is positioned as a competitive alternative to both full battery EVs and conventional hybrids thanks to its design, which emphasizes long-distance flexibility while preserving EV-like daily driving characteristics.
