2026 Ford Bronco Megazilla 2.0 Concept
By Lorenzo Bianchi November 4, 2026
The 2026 Ford Bronco Megazilla 2.0 Concept, officially named Frostwarden, showcases Ford Racing Parts' new supercharged 7.3-litre V8 crate engine.
Megazilla 2.0 produces more than 1,200 hp and 1,000 lb-ft of torque, using a 3.0-litre Whipple supercharger and extensively upgraded internal components.
The Bronco-based show vehicle features 42-inch BFGoodrich tires, 18-inch Weld beadlock wheels, 74Weld portal gear lifts, Dana driveline upgrades and custom Bilstein dampers.
Ford Bronco Frostwarden Brings Megazilla 2.0 to SEMA
Ford has introduced the 2026 Ford Bronco Megazilla 2.0 Concept, officially known as Frostwarden, as a showcase for its latest high-output crate engine.
Developed around the Ford Bronco, the heavily modified vehicle combines more than 1,200 horsepower with substantial suspension and drivetrain upgrades.
The project was conceived as an Arctic search-and-rescue vehicle, although its primary purpose is to demonstrate the engineering possibilities available through Ford Racing Parts and specialist aftermarket partners.
Frostwarden also provides the first vehicle installation of the new Megazilla 2.0 engine.
Bronco Bodywork and Arctic Recovery Inspiration
Frostwarden takes its inspiration from vehicles intended to operate in remote winter environments.
The familiar Bronco platform provides the foundation, but the finished build adopts substantially different proportions through its suspension and wheel modifications.
Its unusually tall stance and wide track reflect the project's recovery-vehicle theme.
Instead, the emphasis remains on the scale of the vehicle and the mechanical equipment supporting its performance.
42 Inch BFGoodrich Tires and Portal Gear Lifts
Frostwarden uses 42-inch BFGoodrich tires mounted on custom 18-inch Weld beadlock wheels.
The suspension package incorporates 74Weld portal gear lifts, upgraded Dana driveline components and custom Bilstein dampers.
These modifications establish the concept's elevated stance while supporting the demands of its substantial engine output.
7.3 Litre Megazilla V8 With Whipple Supercharger
The central feature is Ford Racing Parts' new Megazilla 2.0 crate engine.
Based on Ford's 7.3-litre V8 family, it is more than a supercharged version of the earlier Megazilla engine.
The revised unit incorporates a stronger block, dedicated camshaft, upgraded pistons, larger fuel injectors and redesigned belt-drive components.
A 3.0-litre Gen 6 Whipple supercharger provides forced induction.
Ford quotes output exceeding 1,200 hp and 1,000 lb-ft of torque.
Interior Equipment and Practical Development
The project underwent an intensive development programme, with work beginning in February 2026.
By October, the completed engine had been transported from dynamometer testing to Kincer's workshop in Tennessee for installation, initial starting and calibration.
SEMA Concept and Ford Racing Parts Programme
Frostwarden was created to demonstrate what specialist builders can achieve using Ford Racing Parts and associated engineering support.
The concept is not available for purchase.
Rather than announcing a production Bronco variant, Ford is using the vehicle to highlight the Megazilla 2.0 engine and its wider performance-parts programme.
