2026 Exeed E05
By Lorenzo Bianchi July 30, 2025
Exeed E05 debuts as an extended-range electric SUV combining electric drive with a petrol generator, delivering up to 165 km EV range and 200 km/h top speed.
First production model to feature Horizon Robotics HSD ADAS powered by Journey 6P chip, supporting up to 12 radars and optional lidar.
Distinctive styling and dimensions (4,780 × 1,890 × 1,725 mm, 2,800 mm wheelbase) position it as a upmarket SUV in Exeed’s global expansion plan.
Exeed’s New EREV Strategy
The Exeed E05 debuts under Chery’s premium Exeed brand as the first dedicated extended-range electric vehicle (EREV). Scheduled for global introduction in September 2025, the model combines electric propulsion with a small petrol engine serving solely as a generator. The goal is to deliver electric-first driving without range anxiety.
Powertrain And Range Performance
Exeed’s
E05 uses a 1.5‑litre turbocharged petrol engine rated at 115 kW (156 hp
/ 220 Nm) as a generator. The drive torque is handled by electric
motors and a 32.7 kWh lithium-iron-phosphate battery. A full battery
delivers about 165 km of electric-only range, while combined range reaches 200 km/h top speed, with fuel consumption near 5.8 L/100 km (WLTC standard).
Rear-wheel electric drive is handled via an electric motor and a specialized transmission system. Engine power does not drive the wheels directly.
Exterior Design And SUV Proportions
The E05 adopts Exeed's current design theme, described as “timeless poetry in motion”. Its silhouette, overall length of 4,780 mm, width 1,890 mm, height 1,725 mm, and a 2,800 mm wheelbase match the Exeed TXL platform with subtle scaling.
Styling includes a round front face with minimal grille, horizontal LED daytime running lights, and full-width segmented taillights engraved with EXEED branding. The body offers options for 18″ to 20″ wheels depending on specification.
Advanced Driver-Assistance System
Exeed positions the E05 as the first mass-produced EV—or EREV—to offer Horizon Robotics’ HSD (Horizon SuperDrive) ADAS platform. Powered by the Journey 6P chip, the system provides up to 560 TOPS of computing power. Features include continuous lane-change support, pedestrian and obstacle avoidance, and narrow street navigation. It also uses a sensor suite that includes up to 12 radars, optional lidar rooftop module, and multiple cameras.
The integration places Exeed alongside more advanced global OEMs in semi-autonomous capability standards.
Interior Technology And UX [Unverified]
Official sources have yet to disclose full interior details. Based on statements, the layout is expected to carry Exeed’s premium cabin ethos, with high-definition screens, wireless connectivity, and modern ergonomics. Confirmation is pending closer to the vehicle’s launch.
