The 2026 Deepal L07 doesn’t try to look new. It mostly isn’t.

Park it next to the outgoing version and you’d have to look twice to spot the differences. That seems deliberate. This update leans heavily into what you don’t see right away — software, hardware, and a few mechanical tweaks that show up over time. It’s less of a facelift, more of a quiet upgrade.

Exterior keeps its edge without changing much

The design carries over as is. Up front, the closed grille and split headlamp setup remain, along with the large lower intakes that give it a bit of attitude. It still reads as a sporty sedan, even if the intent is more balanced than aggressive.

From the side, the double waistline is easier to notice. One line runs straight through the body, while the second adds a bit of shape around the rear doors and arches. It gives the car a wider stance than it actually has.

There are a few details that don’t shout for attention. Hidden door handles, low-drag wheels, frameless doors. They all help clean up the profile without changing it. At the rear, the full-width light bar and retractable spoiler are still there. Familiar, but they work.

Proportions stay grounded in the segment

The L07 sticks to a traditional sedan layout. It’s long enough to give rear passengers proper space, but not stretched to the point where it feels oversized. The roofline stays low, keeping the car planted visually.

There’s no attempt to turn it into a coupe or blur the lines with an SUV. It’s a sedan, and it’s comfortable being one.

Interior changes show up once you start using it

Step inside, and things feel similar at first. The layout hasn’t moved much. Clean lines, a large central screen, and minimal clutter. But spend a bit more time with it, and the changes start to come through.

The 15.6-inch display now runs on a Snapdragon 8295 chip, replacing the older setup. It’s quicker, smoother, and more responsive when you move between menus.

The system itself moves to Deepal OS 4.0, adding an AI assistant and split-screen functionality. It’s the kind of update that makes the car feel more modern without changing how it looks.

Above it, the 55-inch AR head-up display handles more of the driving information, so you don’t need to glance down as often. Comfort features are still a strong point. Heated and ventilated seats, a zero-gravity passenger seat with massage, and an electric tailgate all come standard.

Powertrain updates stay focused on everyday driving

The L07 continues with two setups. The pure electric version produces up to 200 kW and offers up to 660 km of range on the CLTC cycle.

The range-extended version adds a 1.5-liter engine that works as a generator, paired with an electric motor delivering either 175 kW or 200 kW. It can run up to 240 km on electric power alone, with fuel consumption rated at 3.48 L/100 km once the battery is depleted. The numbers improve slightly, but the real focus stays on smoothness and consistency.

Tech and ride updates make the difference over time

One of the bigger changes is the switch to Huawei’s Qiankun ADS system. It replaces the previous setup and comes standard across all versions, bringing a more advanced layer of driver assistance.

The suspension also gets an update. Adaptive damping with FSD shock absorbers and hydraulic rebound control is now standard, which should help the car deal with uneven roads a bit more calmly.

A quiet update that makes sense

The 2026 Deepal L07 doesn’t try to grab attention with big changes.

It keeps the design, refines the tech, and improves the way it drives in small but noticeable ways. For a car like this, that approach feels about right.
