Refined Exterior and Sedan Proportions
The 2026 Chevrolet Onix Plus forms part of Chevrolet’s broad product renewal in Brazil as the brand marks 100 years of local operations. Alongside the hatchback, Tracker, and new electric entries, the compact sedan continues as one of Chevrolet’s core volume models.
Visually, the Onix Plus adopts a more refined look. The entire front bumper has been redesigned to improve both aesthetics and functionality, making it easier to navigate ramps and uneven surfaces. The introduction of an unprecedented Full LED headlight option increases lighting power by 61 percent compared with the previous system. In photographs, the sharper light signature lends the sedan a more technical expression, tightening its front-end stance.
At the rear, translucent taillights distinguish the Plus from the hatchback, adding what Chevrolet describes as an extra dose of charm. The sedan’s three-box proportions remain intact: compact overall length, defined trunk volume, and a roofline that slopes gently toward the rear deck. It is a familiar silhouette, now subtly sharpened.
Virtual Cockpit and Expanded Connectivity
Inside, the most significant change is the introduction of a virtual cockpit that unites the digital instrument panel with an 11-inch MyLink infotainment screen into a single integrated surface. The result is a wider, more horizontal dashboard presentation, placing emphasis on digital clarity.
Air conditioning has been optimized with artificial intelligence software. All versions receive additional standard features, including native Wi-Fi and keyless entry. The upgrades point to a steady push toward connectivity and user convenience in the compact sedan segment.
Material revisions specific to the Plus are not detailed in the official release. However, Chevrolet positions the broader update as part of the continuous evolution of the product.
Engine Calibration and Fuel Economy Record
The 2026 Chevrolet Onix Plus continues with naturally aspirated and turbocharged flex-fuel configurations. While performance figures are not disclosed, Chevrolet confirms that the engines have received modifications, including recalibration, to enhance the driving experience while maintaining efficiency.
The outcome is a highway fuel consumption figure of up to 17.7 km/l of gasoline, surpassing its previous record and achieving what Chevrolet states is the best fuel economy among flex-fuel engines. For a market where fuel costs remain a decisive factor, that number carries weight.
Both the new Onix and Onix Plus are offered with an extended factory warranty of up to five years, reinforcing confidence in the updated engineering package.
