2026 Caven Atelier Hommage 26
By Lorenzo Bianchi November 2, 2026
The CAVËN Atelier HOMMAGE 26 reunites Fabrizio Giugiaro with the Lamborghini Gallardo he originally designed at Italdesign in 1998, with only 25 examples planned.
A completely redesigned carbon-fibre body introduces pop-down headlights, active aerodynamic flaps and an opening rear engine window, retaining just five components from the donor vehicle.
The reworked 5.0-litre V10 produces 540 hp in GT specification or 560 hp in Performance form, paired with a manual transmission. Prices begin at €900,000 before taxes and the donor car.
CAVËN Atelier HOMMAGE 26 Reimagines the Lamborghini Gallardo
CAVËN Atelier has unveiled the 2026 CAVËN Atelier HOMMAGE 26, a limited-production reinterpretation of the first-generation Lamborghini Gallardo developed by its original designer, Fabrizio Giugiaro.
Presented at the Concours at Wynn Las Vegas on October 31, 2026, the project marks the opening chapter of CAVËN Atelier's Designer Series.
Giugiaro, who conceived the original Gallardo at Italdesign in 1998, has returned to the car through his GFG Style studio, nearly three decades after the original design.
Only 25 examples will be produced, each based on a first-generation Gallardo.
Original Gallardo Front Design With Pop Down Headlights
The HOMMAGE 26 takes a different approach from a conventional restoration.
Its front design draws directly from Giugiaro's original 1998 work, while the remaining exterior has been substantially reconsidered.
A newly developed carbon-fibre body replaces almost every original exterior component.
Pop-down headlights introduce a different lighting arrangement, accompanied by active aerodynamic flaps.
The rear receives entirely new bodywork, including an opening window positioned above the engine.
Together, these changes allow Giugiaro to revisit his original design using contemporary materials and engineering.
Carbon Fibre Body and Revised Proportions
Despite the extensive redesign, the HOMMAGE 26 preserves several elements connecting it to the original Gallardo.
Only five components carry over from the donor vehicle: the roof, side windows, windscreen, side mirrors and mirror bases.
Everything else has been developed specifically for the project.
The result retains the Gallardo's underlying architectural identity while introducing new exterior surfaces and aerodynamic details.
New Suspension, Brakes and 20 Inch Wheels
The redeveloped chassis receives a new suspension system offering two selectable settings.
Comfort mode is intended for road use, while Sport provides an alternative driving configuration.
CAVËN Atelier also confirms upgraded brakes and 20-inch wheels.
Reworked V10 Produces Up to 560 HP
Italtecnica has redeveloped the Gallardo's naturally aspirated 5.0-litre V10 engine.
The revised unit revs to 8,500 rpm and is paired with a manual transmission.
Two specifications are planned. The GT produces 540 hp, while the Performance version increases output to 560 hp.
Limited Production and €900,000 Starting Price
Each HOMMAGE 26 begins with a first-generation Gallardo supplied by the customer or sourced by CAVËN Atelier.
Pricing starts at €900,000 net, excluding the donor vehicle.
CURATED represents CAVËN Atelier and its projects in the United States.
The company cautions that technical specifications may change following the prototype phase.
