2026 Cadillac VISTIQ European Version

By Lorenzo Bianchi

  • Cadillac introduces a new three-row luxury EV for Europe.

  • Dual-motor AWD setup delivers 646 hp and 880 Nm.

  • Debut coincides with Cadillac City Stockholm opening.

Cadillac’s Electric Ambition Moves Into a New Phase

The 2026 Cadillac VISTIQ European Version arrives as more than just another addition to the brand’s growing EV lineup. It’s a statement — a large, seven-seat SUV designed to signal Cadillac’s intent to compete seriously in Europe’s premium electric market. Unveiled alongside the launch of Cadillac City Stockholm, the brand’s first European experience center, the VISTIQ pairs technology and craftsmanship with a confident sense of scale.

Sweden was a fitting choice for the debut. “Sweden is a leader in electrification and shares our commitment to a more sustainable future,” said Pere Brugal, Managing Director of GM Europe. “The VISTIQ redefines what a three-row SUV can be — offering first-class comfort in every seat, bold Cadillac design, and the agility of a much smaller vehicle.”

Power Meets Composure

Underneath its sculpted surface, the VISTIQ uses a dual-motor all-wheel-drive system producing 646 horsepower and 880 Nm of torque, figures that place it among the quickest in its class. The result is acceleration from 0–100 km/h in roughly 3.7 seconds, made possible by a Velocity Max drive mode that unlocks full performance.

Yet Cadillac’s engineers didn’t chase numbers for the sake of them. The 460 km WLTP range indicates a focus on balance — performance without compromise in daily usability. The SUV’s demeanor, Cadillac says, emphasizes “quiet confidence,” a nod to how the car feels as much as how it moves.

Safety tech also plays a central role. The Night Vision system uses infrared sensors to detect pedestrians and animals in darkness, while Surround Vision merges input from four exterior cameras into a 360-degree top-down display. Together, they lend composure in city streets or narrow parking spaces.

A Cabin Shaped by Intelligence and Restraint

Inside, the VISTIQ continues Cadillac’s gradual shift toward clean, tech-forward design. A 33-inch curved LED display stretches across the dashboard, merging driver and infotainment data in one minimalist panel. The system runs on an Android-based interface, giving access to apps such as Amazon Prime Video, Max, and GameSnacks — useful during charging stops.

Climate and comfort systems are tuned for subtlety. The five-zone intelligent climate control directs airflow only where it’s needed, improving both efficiency and comfort. Audio, meanwhile, is handled by a 23-speaker AKG Studio Reference system with Dolby Atmos, tuned to create a different acoustic balance for each seat.

Craftsmanship with Modern Character

The design is unmistakably Cadillac — upright yet sleek, confident yet calm. A Black Crystal Shield grille, vertical LED lighting, and a raked windshield give the SUV a poised stance. Inside, finishes vary by trim: carbon fiber, open-pore Lumen wood, or Black Ash Cluster wood, paired with Noveauluxe leather-free upholstery. Even the third row feels considered, with padded armrests, cupholders, and its own USB ports.

With orders opening May 28, 2025, and deliveries set for September, the VISTIQ will launch first in Sweden, Germany, France, and Switzerland. Its arrival coincides with Cadillac’s renewed European presence — an understated but confident return.

The Cadillac City Stockholm experience center, located in the Mall of Scandinavia, acts as both a showroom and cultural foothold for the brand’s electric transition.

The VISTIQ may be Cadillac’s latest EV, but it reads as something broader — a sign that the brand’s century-old sense of luxury can survive, and even thrive, in an electric age.
