2026 Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing F1 Collector Series

By Lorenzo Bianchi

  • Limited to 26 units marking Cadillac’s F1 entry.

  • 6.2L supercharged V8 produces 685 hp and 673 lb-ft.

  • Manual transmission and Precision Package come standard.

Formula 1 influence shapes the visual identity

The 2026 Cadillac CT5 V Blackwing F1 Collector Series leans heavily into timing. It arrives alongside Cadillac’s entry into Formula 1, and that context shows up everywhere on the car.

Finished in Midnight Stone Frost, the exterior carries a restrained but purposeful look. It’s mostly monochrome, broken up by carbon fiber lower sections and a thin Switchblade Silver pinstripe that runs along the body.

The details matter more than the base colour. F1 and FIA logos appear across the car, from the rear spoiler to the rocker panels. Even the driver door gets a stamped F1 logo using a specific “autocraft” technique, something not typically seen on road cars.

Wheels are finished in Carbon Flash Metallic, paired with Harbor Gray brake calipers. It’s a controlled palette. Nothing too loud, but clearly tied to the theme.

Familiar proportions with subtle track intent

The Cadillac CT5 V Blackwing itself doesn’t change its underlying shape.

It remains a traditional sports sedan. Long bonnet, short rear deck, balanced proportions. The F1 Collector Series builds on that rather than altering it.

What shifts slightly is the stance. Carbon fiber elements sit lower along the body, visually lowering the car. The added aero pieces don’t transform the silhouette, but they do tighten the look, especially when viewed from a lower angle.

It still reads like a CT5 V Blackwing first. The F1 layer sits over the top.

Interior details lean heavily into branding

Inside, the approach continues.

The cabin is largely monochromatic, matching the exterior tone. From there, Cadillac layers in small but consistent references to Formula 1.

Seat headrests carry embossed F1 logos. The shifter medallion uses a 3D-printed design incorporating both F1 and FIA branding. Even under the carbon fiber center console trim, a laser-etched FIA logo sits beneath the clear coat.

There’s also a serialized builder’s badge, unique to each of the 26 cars. It’s less about usability, more about marking each example as part of a very small run.

Supercharged V8 remains the core of the experience

Mechanically, the car builds on what’s already known.

A 6.2-litre supercharged V8 sits at the center, now producing 685 horsepower and 673 lb-ft of torque. That makes it the most powerful Blackwing to date. The increase comes from an upgraded supercharger developed with GM Motorsports.

Power is sent through a six-speed manual transmission. No automatic option here. It’s a deliberate choice, keeping the focus on driver involvement rather than outright convenience.

Each car also includes a CNC-machined supercharger cover, produced in-house, adding another small layer of detail to the engine bay.

Track-focused setup shapes usability

Every example comes with the Precision Package as standard.

That means chassis tuning, braking, and suspension setups aimed at track use rather than everyday comfort. The Blackwing has always been capable on circuit, and this version leans further in that direction.

Practicality remains secondary. It’s still a four-door sedan, but this isn’t being positioned as a daily driver first.

Limited production ties it to a specific moment

Only 26 units will be built. That number directly references Cadillac’s entry into Formula 1 in 2026.

Availability is limited to the US and Canada, with production scheduled to begin mid-2026. Pricing hasn’t been detailed here.

This isn’t just another variant. It’s tied to a specific point in the brand’s history, and that’s how it’s being presented.
