2026 Buick Electra ENCASA
By Lorenzo Bianchi December 6, 2025
ENCASA introduces Buick’s most luxurious family-oriented MPV to date.
New PHEV Pro twin-motor system delivers 462 kW and 1,320 km CLTC range.
Wellness-focused cabin features industry-first five-constant environment.
Design and Proportions Rooted in Private Jet Luxury
Buick positions the 2026 Electra ENCASA as a “Land Gulfstream,” and the design direction makes that easy to understand. The vehicle stretches 5,260 mm in length and 2,023 mm in width, giving it the broad stance expected of a flagship MPV. The roofline stands at 1,820 mm, and the wheelbase runs a full 3,160 mm, establishing a long, uninterrupted silhouette built around interior volume
Surface treatment leans toward clean horizontal lines and subtle curvature, with the aerodynamic profile registering a low 0.258 Cd. The front signature is defined by adaptive crystal LED headlights operating across seven modes, while the rear incorporates a through-body taillight containing 257 ultra-red LEDs. A ceremonial air suspension lowers the vehicle by up to 60 mm during entry, paired with gesture-controlled sliding doors—small details that shape the ENCASA’s upscale first impression.
Powertrain and Performance Highlights
Under the bodywork sits Buick’s Zhenlong PHEV Pro twin-motor all-wheel-drive system. Output reaches 462 kW and 775 Nm, enabling 0–100 km/h in 5.8 seconds and a 3.3-second 80–120 km/h surge
Range figures are equally notable: an estimated 1,320 km combined CLTC range and 224 km in pure electric mode. It takes about 20 minutes to fast-charge from 30% to 80%, and the car can cruise at 170 km/h even when the battery is completely depleted.
With a cumulative safety record exceeding 2.6 billion kilometers and multilayer liquid cooling and nano-insulation, the battery is built for long-term durability exceeding 640,000 kilometers. Buick clearly intends ENCASA to serve as both a family flagship and a technological showcase.
Interior Features and the Wellness-Focused Cabin
Buick has leaned heavily into comfort and material richness. The cabin uses full-grain Nappa leather, an ultra-suede headliner, and a 15 mm Australian wool carpet, all arranged around rounded surfaces shaped by the brand’s “Aquatic Aesthetic.” More than 3.6 meters of usable cabin length reinforces the MPV’s family-first purpose.
Second-row zero-gravity seats automatically coordinate with the first and third rows, offering heating, multi-point massage, and a rest mode designed for long journeys. Across all rows, floating-layer cushioning with pearl-cotton padding supports a quieter, softer ride. Storage solutions—49 in total—reinforce the ENCASA’s practical side.
A standout is the industry-first “five-constant wellness cabin,” regulating temperature, humidity, oxygen, cleanliness, and quietness through climate layers, purification tech, noise cancellation, and safe-material selections
Positioning in the New-Energy MPV Landscape
With China’s MPV segment shifting toward electrified, comfort-centric mobility, Buick is using the ENCASA to anchor the premium end of its Electra sub-brand. The combination of advanced NOA city-driving capabilities, full-scene parking automation, and an eight-screen digital environment positions the vehicle at the technological frontier of family transportation.
Two trims launch at RMB 439,900 and RMB 469,900, reinforcing its role as Buick’s new-energy flagship.
