Four unique Mulliner Bentleys honor Czech-manned RAF squadrons 310, 311, 312, and 313.
Laser-etched headrests, bespoke treadplates, and historic color palettes define each car.
The collection marks Bentley Prague’s first Mulliner commission and new showroom opening.
A Mulliner Collection Stemming from a Common Past
The 2026 Bentley Czech Squadron Collection is more about memory than it is about innovation.
Commissioned by Bentley Prague as its first Mulliner collection, the quartet of one-off cars celebrates Czech pilots who served in the Royal Air Force during the Second World War. Developed with formal permission from the British Ministry of Defence, the collection draws on squadron insignia, aircraft profiles, and mottos that remain deeply symbolic in both Czech and British history.
The project also reflects Bentley’s own industrial past. Crewe’s Pyms Lane site, now synonymous with hand-built luxury cars, began life in 1938 as a factory producing Merlin V12 aircraft engines for the RAF. That shared lineage underpins the collection’s narrative and gives the historical references weight rather than decoration.
Four Cars, Four Squadrons
The Czech Squadron Collection consists of four individual Mulliner commissions: a Continental GT Convertible, a Bentayga, a Continental GT, and a Flying Spur. Each represents a specific RAF squadron flown by Czech airmen.
Squadron 310 is honored through a Continental GT Convertible finished in Thunder, a restrained blue recalling Spitfire camouflage. Inside, Imperial Blue, Cognac, and Brunel hides are paired with herringbone charcoal tweed, while treadplates feature the Merlin-powered Spitfire profile and the squadron motto “We fight to rebuild.”
Squadron 311, the RAF’s only Czech-manned bomber squadron, is represented by a Bentayga in Cypress Green. Its treadplates depict both the Wellington and B-24 Liberator aircraft flown by the unit, while the interior combines Autumn and Cumbrian Green hides with dark tint diamond brushed aluminium surfaces.
Fighter Squadrons Reflected in Form
The Continental GT commissioned for Squadron 312 adopts a darker, more purposeful tone. Its broad, low stance is reminiscent of the fighter aircraft it references, and it is finished in Barnato solid green with Blackline specifications. Fern Green highlights and dark-tinted engine spin veneers counterbalance the Beluga and Anthracite hides within, enhancing the practical, aviation-inspired atmosphere.
Squadron 313 is commemorated through a Flying Spur finished in a duo-tone Cypress over Anthracite. The four-seat cabin features Gondola Green and Gravity Grey hides, open-pore black stained Crown Cut Walnut veneers, and bespoke treadplates bearing the Spitfire profile alongside the squadron’s motto, “One hawk chases many crows.”
Craft Techniques with Historic Purpose
Across all four cars, Mulliner introduces a newly developed laser-etching technique for headrest insignia, allowing intricate squadron crests to be rendered with exceptional precision. Bespoke treadplates, custom fender badges, and Bentley Rotating Displays with red, black, and yellow dial surrounds further connect each interior to its aviation source material.
