2026 Bentley Continental GTC Black Forest Collection

By Lorenzo Bianchi

  • A limited regional Mulliner specification inspired by the Black Forest landscape and heritage.

  • Distinctive exterior and interior detailing tailored specifically for Bentley Stuttgart’s anniversary.

  • Retains the full performance and open-air character of the Continental GTC Speed.

Regional inspiration applied to a familiar silhouette

The 2026 Bentley Continental GTC Black Forest Regional Collection is less about reinvention and more about interpretation. Unveiled to mark Bentley Stuttgart’s 15th anniversary, this bespoke convertible draws directly from the colours, textures, and atmosphere of southwest Germany’s Black Forest region.

The underlying Continental GTC Speed proportions remain unchanged. Long bonnet, strong shoulder line, and a low, wide stance continue to define the car’s presence. What differentiates this regional edition is its surface treatment. The exterior is finished in Scarab green, a deep, muted tone intended to echo dense forest canopies rather than stand apart from them. The colour works particularly well on the GTC’s broad body panels, where light shifts gently across the surface rather than breaking it up.

Subtle exterior details, deliberately restrained

Mulliner’s approach here is precise rather than theatrical. Bespoke treadplates reference the Black Forest Collection by name, while gloss black detailing reinforces the darker, more grounded theme. When the convertible roof is down, a smooth beltline free of significant contrast is seen, making the design appear serene and unified.

Each Black Forest Collection car is delivered with a bespoke luggage set finished in Beluga leather with Pillar Box Red accents. It is a small but telling detail, reinforcing that this is a curated specification rather than a standard option package.

Interior materials shaped by landscape and craft

Inside, the Continental GTC Black Forest Regional Collection leans heavily into natural textures. The cabin is dominated by open-pore walnut veneer, which was chosen to represent the forests that served as the collection's inspiration. High sheen is subordinated to warmth and genuineness, and the wood's grain is still palpable.

The seat inserts have custom embroidery, and the leather upholstery is paired with elaborate contrast stitching. A fern green leaf motif with Pillar Box Red accents subtly alludes to berries and forest foliage. The dashboard carries etched “Black Forest” detailing, depicting a selection of local leaves rather than abstract patterns. The effect is quietly narrative, readable without being overt.

Performance unchanged, character intact

Mechanically, the Continental GTC Black Forest Regional Collection remains aligned with the Continental GTC Speed. Bentley does not alter the powertrain or chassis configuration for this regional edition. That means the familiar blend of high-output performance and long-distance refinement carries over intact, ensuring the car’s dynamic character matches its visual confidence.

Here, maintaining the GTC Speed's harmony between smooth pace and leisurely outdoor touring is more important than higher output or quicker reactions. In that sense, the Black Forest specification complements the car’s core strengths rather than competing with them.

Positioning as a localised expression of Mulliner

The 2026 Bentley Continental GTC Black Forest Regional Collection sits outside the conventional model hierarchy. It is neither a global special edition nor a preview of broader design direction. Rather, it is a geographically relevant manifestation of Mulliner's skills, designed for a particular market and time.

Alongside the Bentayga S Black Edition and Continental GT Speed in the same collection, the GTC variant reinforces Bentley’s growing emphasis on regional storytelling. For clients seeking something recognisably Bentley yet rooted in place, the Black Forest Collection delivers exactly that.
