2026 Bentley Batur Convertible Mulliner

By Lorenzo Bianchi

  • Ultra-limited production: Only 16 Batur Convertibles are being built by Bentley’s Mulliner coachbuilding division.

  • Powerful W12 finale: The car features a hand-assembled 6.0 L twin-turbo W12 engine delivering 750 PS and approximately 1,000 Nm torque.

  • Bespoke craftsmanship: Behind-the-scenes personalization includes the Airbridge design, one-plus-one cockpit, 3D-printed rose-gold detailing, and virtually unlimited finish options.

A Bespoke Convertible Reimagined

The Bentley Batur Convertible Mulliner continues Bentley’s modern coachbuilding tradition—following the Bacalar and Batur coupe. Designed and assembled by Mulliner, the vehicle is deeply tailored to individual client preferences, both inside and out. It channel’s Bentley’s early open-cockpit era through evolving aesthetics and advanced craftsmanship.

Engineering: A W12 Farewell

At the heart of the Batur Convertible is a hand-built 6.0 L twin-turbo W12, delivering 750 PS (~740 hp) and approximately 1,000 Nm (~738 lb-ft) of torque—making it the most powerful iteration of Bentley’s iconic engine family. It sends torque through an 8-speed dual-clutch automatic to all four wheels. The convertible achieves 0–100 km/h (0‑62 mph) in about 3.4–3.5 seconds, with a top speed near 209 mph (336 km/h).

Signature Convertible Design

The coachbuilt Batur Convertible retains the Batur coupe’s silhouette but integrates Mulliner’s visual cues. These include an integrated ducktail rear spoiler, a body-colored Airbridge—a sculptural element behind the seats—and a redesigned rear deck to house the power-operated soft top that opens or closes in 19 seconds at speeds up to 30 mph.

Interiors Reinvented for Individuality

The cabin reflects purpose and collaboration. The ‘One-plus-One’ layout visually separates driver and passenger zones. The driver’s cockpit may be trimmed in Beluga black with Mandarin accent stitching, while the passenger area uses complementary light and fabric tones. Bentley craftsmanship includes Beluga leather, Alcantara, satin black facia, and gloss veneers; clients may opt for 3D-printed rose-gold detailing at key touchpoints like drive mode selectors.

Ultra-Personalized Experience

Owning a Batur Convertible means extensive customization: exterior colors are unlimited, interior colors and materials are freely chosen, and minute finishes—like gold-plated controls or unique tone-on-tone grilles—are available. Mulliner facilitates this through a dedicated visualization and tailoring process for each of the 16 individual examples.

Positioning in Bentley’s Legacy

The Batur Convertible will be among the final Bentley models to feature the storied W12 engine, scheduled to cease production later in 2025. At an estimated price of around £2 million, it stands among Bentley’s most exclusive offerings and underscored the final combustion-era statement before the brand transitions toward electrification.
