First A6 allroad available with a plug-in hybrid powertrain.
Wider body, increased ground clearance, and standard adaptive air suspension.
V6 TDI and e-hybrid models feature electrified drivetrains and quattro all-wheel drive.
A Familiar Formula With A New Look
The Audi A6 allroad quattro has always occupied a slightly unusual place in the premium wagon segment. It's designed for long highway journeys, but it has never shied away from rougher roads. For 2026, Audi has expanded on that idea rather than reinventing it.
The most noticeable change is its size. The new model adopts a significantly wider body, growing by 111 millimeters compared with the standard A6 Avant. Combined with broader wheel arches, larger wheels, and unique allroad styling elements, the wagon has a much stronger visual presence than before.
At the front, Audi uses hexagonal design themes across the grille and air intakes, while dedicated underbody protection and contrasting lower-body trim remind onlookers that this is more than just a road-focused estate.
Ground Clearance That Changes With Conditions
The allroad name still means something here.
Compared with the A6 Avant, the new model sits 34 millimeters higher and features a dedicated adaptive air suspension system as standard. Drivers can raise the vehicle further through Offroad and Offroad+ modes, while a lift function adds extra clearance when conditions become particularly challenging.
Audi says the suspension offers a 55-millimeter adjustment range, allowing the car to adapt between long-distance comfort and rough-surface capability. Standard quattro all-wheel drive remains part of the package, while all-wheel steering improves maneuverability at lower speeds and stability at higher ones.
The result is a vehicle that feels equally suited to motorways, gravel roads, and mountain routes.
A Cabin Built Around Technology
Inside, the A6 allroad follows Audi's latest digital design direction.
The centerpiece is the curved MMI panoramic display that combines an 11.9-inch digital instrument cluster with a 14.5-inch central touchscreen. Buyers can also specify an additional 10.9-inch passenger display integrated into the dashboard.
Audi has paid attention to comfort as well. Available features include individual contour seats with massage and ventilation functions, four-zone climate control, a dimmable panoramic glass roof, and a Bang & Olufsen sound system.
Ambient lighting stretches across the cabin, while the Audi assistant integrates ChatGPT functionality for voice-based vehicle interaction and infotainment tasks.
Electrified Power Across The Lineup
For the first time, the A6 allroad is available as a plug-in hybrid.
The e-hybrid combines a turbocharged 2.0-liter gasoline engine with an electric motor for a total output of 367 PS and 500 Nm of torque. Audi says the system can deliver up to 95 kilometers of electric driving range under the WLTP cycle.
Buyers can also choose a 3.0-liter V6 TDI producing 299 PS and 580 Nm. This engine uses Audi's MHEV plus technology, an electric-powered compressor, and additional electric assistance to improve response and efficiency.
Both powertrains come standard with quattro all-wheel drive, reinforcing the allroad's role as a vehicle designed to handle changing conditions with minimal fuss.
