2026 Alpine A310 Vision Concept
By Lorenzo Bianchi October 12, 2026
The 2026 Alpine A310 Vision Concept celebrates 55 years of the original four cylinder A310 and 50 years of the V6, introducing a contemporary interpretation of the French sports car.
Measuring 4.55 meters long, 2.03 meters wide and just 1.18 meters tall, the concept features aluminium bodywork, A shaped wheels and a semi transparent cockpit.
Developed around Alpine's new APP platform, the one off design study explores pop down headlights, S duct aerodynamics and a split rear wing without confirming production plans.
Alpine A310 Returns With a New Design Interpretation
The 2026 Alpine A310 Vision Concept has made its debut at the Paris Motor Show, revisiting one of the French manufacturer's distinctive sports cars. The original A310 arrived in 1971, following the Alpine Berlinette, and became known for its low profile and angular styling.
The new concept marks two anniversaries: 55 years of the four cylinder A310 and 50 years of the V6 version.
Rather than reproducing the original, Alpine's design team studied an A310 positioned inside its studio, using sketches and observations of the older car's proportions to develop a contemporary interpretation.
The result is a one off design exercise, not a confirmed future production model.
Low Aluminium Bodywork With Wide Rear Proportions
The A310 Vision measures 4,550 mm long, 1,180 mm high and 2,030 mm wide at its broadest rear section. Its wheelbase spans 2,450 mm.
These dimensions give the concept a particularly low stance, with broad rear shoulders and a cabin positioned beneath a semi transparent bubble.
The upper body uses aluminium surfaces, contrasting with a dark lower section inspired by Formula 1 aerodynamic design.
Seen from the side, the long, tapered nose meets a compact passenger compartment before extending into muscular rear bodywork.
The wheels feature a triangular A shaped design, referencing the metal wheels fitted to early A310 models.
Pop Down Headlights and Split Rear Wing
At the front, Alpine has introduced an unusual pop down lighting arrangement. The headlights are incorporated into a flexible section of the nose, creating a changing appearance when the vehicle starts.
The bonnet features an S duct opening, with sculpted contours intended to manage airflow.
A central Y zero blade runs through the body, drawing the eye toward the rear.
The split rear wing uses transparent elements inspired by ice and mountain scenery, while blade shaped taillights also contribute to aerodynamic downforce.
Semi Transparent Cockpit With Physical Controls
Although the A310 Vision is primarily an exterior design study, its partially transparent cabin reveals some interior ideas.
The seats feature organic shapes, accompanied by contrasting color blocks and physical controls inspired by traditional Hi Fi equipment.
Alpine has not disclosed the seating arrangement, infotainment specifications or detailed interior materials.
The concept instead uses the cabin to support the exterior's sculptural design, without presenting a fully developed production interior.
APP Platform and Future Alpine Sports Cars
The A310 Vision explores the design possibilities of Alpine's new APP platform, which allows designers to experiment with different proportions and body structures.
No engine, electric motor output, battery capacity or performance figures have been announced for the concept.
Alpine also has not confirmed a production version or pricing.
For now, the A310 Vision remains an independent project, examining how the original car's low proportions and distinctive styling could influence future Alpine sports cars.
