The 2026 Alpina XB7 Manufaktur arrives as a farewell edition for the high-performance luxury SUV, marking the conclusion of XB7 production after its introduction in 2020. Just 120 examples will be built for North America, positioning the Manufaktur version as both a collector’s piece and the final expression of Alpina’s interpretation of the BMW X7.
Production will take place at BMW’s Spartanburg plant in South Carolina, with assembly beginning in September 2026 and deliveries scheduled for the fourth quarter of the year.
Unlike typical Alpina models that offer broad personalization, the XB7 Manufaktur arrives in a single, fully equipped specification, simplifying the configuration process. Buyers select only the exterior color, leaving the rest of the vehicle curated by Alpina’s design team.
Unique External Finishes and Details of Alpina Heritage
The 2026 Alpina XB7 Manufaktur's striking features are still clearly derived from the BMW X7. Its broad stance, upright greenhouse, and long hood make it stand out as a full-size luxury SUV.
The Manufaktur model offers two unique paint finishes—Frozen ALPINA Green and Frozen ALPINA Blue—that were not available on the XB7 before. Both colors draw from the brand’s historic palette, reinforcing the model’s link to Alpina heritage.
The grille, window surrounds, air breathers, and tailpipe finishers are finished in Shadowline high-gloss black, creating contrast against the matte bodywork.
Standard 23-inch ALPINA CLASSIC forged wheels fill the arches with their traditional 20-spoke design, a signature visual element long associated with Alpina road cars.
Additional cues underline the special edition status. The car is recognizable within the limited production run by a unique rear emblem, and the B-pillars include a laser-etched "MANUFAKTUR" wordmark.
Handcrafted Cabin With Heritage References
Inside, the Alpina XB7 Manufaktur emphasizes craftsmanship rather than spectacle.
Every example receives Tartufo Full Merino leather upholstery, paired with ALPINA Walnut Nature Black trim. The warm brown leather tone contrasts with darker wood surfaces, producing a cabin atmosphere that feels more traditional grand tourer than modern performance SUV.
Heritage references appear throughout the interior. The front headrests carry embroidered ALPINA script in green and blue, connecting the vehicle to more than five decades of the brand’s design language.
A plaque mounted on the centre console confirms each car’s status as “1 of 120”, reinforcing the limited-run nature of the Manufaktur edition.
Standard equipment includes second-row captain’s chairs and a Bowers & Wilkins Diamond Surround Sound system, underscoring the vehicle’s focus on long-distance comfort.
Additionally, two handcrafted ALPINA weekender bags made of brown LAVALINA leather that complement the interior materials and color scheme are given to the owners.
Twin Turbo V8 Performance With Alpina Chassis Tuning
Beneath the bodywork sits a familiar but carefully tuned powertrain.
The 4.4-liter twin-turbocharged V8, derived from BMW’s S68 engine, produces 631 horsepower and 590 lb-ft of torque. Paired with an eight-speed ALPINA Switch-Tronic transmission and a 48-volt starter-generator system, the large SUV accelerates from 0–60 mph in 3.9 seconds.
Alpina’s chassis tuning aims to balance performance with refinement. Up to 3.2 inches of ride-height adjustment is possible with a two-axle air suspension system, which raises the car at low speeds and automatically lowers it at higher ones to increase stability.
For a car this size, agility is further improved by Integral Active Steering, which can rotate the rear wheels up to 2.3 degrees, and Active Roll Stabilization.
With the 2026 Alpina XB7 Manufaktur, the brand closes the chapter on one of its most powerful and luxurious SUVs, leaving behind a limited run designed to celebrate the model’s short but significant production life.
