A Unique Series Based on Alfa Romeo Identity
Alongside Intensa versions of the Tonale and Stelvio, the 2025 Alfa Romeo Giulia Intensa is a new special series. The series, which made its debut at the 2025 Brussels Motor Show, focuses on a unique two-tone style meant to represent the brand's longstanding emphasis on Italian design and performance heritage.
Within the lineup, the Giulia Intensa occupies the familiar role of Alfa Romeo’s sports sedan. The formula remains intact: rear-biased driving dynamics, compact proportions, and surfaces shaped with a clear emphasis on movement even at rest.
The Intensa treatment does not alter the fundamental architecture of the Giulia, but it introduces a series of visual and material refinements that subtly shift the sedan’s character toward a more expressive presentation.
Exterior Design and Signature Details
From a distance, the Giulia Intensa remains instantly recognizable. The long hood, short deck, and tightly drawn cabin proportions are unchanged. Yet the details distinguish it.
The sedan rides on 19-inch black alloy wheels with a light-gold diamond-cut finish, a color combination that sets the tone for the rest of the package. Brake calipers follow the same theme, finished in black with a light-gold Alfa Romeo script.
Italian flag accents appear on the wing mirror caps, a small but deliberate nod to the brand’s heritage.
Three exterior colors are available: Rosso Etna, Verde Fangio, and Vulcano Black. Each works differently with the dark wheel finish and gold accents. Rosso Etna highlights the Giulia’s sculpted flanks most clearly, while Vulcano Black compresses the shapes into a more subdued profile.
It is a restrained update. The Giulia’s design remains one of the cleaner interpretations in the sports sedan segment.
Interior Materials and Two Tone Theme
Inside, the Intensa theme becomes more apparent.
Black leather seats feature tan contrast stitching, with the Alfa Romeo logo embroidered on the front headrests. The dashboard and door panels are trimmed in leather as well, giving the cabin a slightly richer texture than the standard Giulia.
A two-tone leather-wrapped steering wheel with tan accents reinforces the theme, while a tan-colored center armrest carries an embroidered Intensa logo.
Aluminum sport pedals and paddle shifters remain part of the package, reminding occupants that the Giulia’s emphasis is still performance rather than ornament.
Turbocharged Performance Remains Central
Under the hood, the Giulia Intensa continues with Alfa Romeo’s established performance setup.
Power comes from a 2.0-liter turbocharged engine producing 280 horsepower and 306 lb-ft of torque, paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission. Q4 all-wheel drive is available, depending on configuration.
This drivetrain has long been central to the Giulia’s identity. It delivers brisk acceleration and a driving character that emphasizes balance rather than outright output figures.
In the premium midsize sports sedan segment, that positioning places the Giulia alongside rivals such as the BMW 3 Series, Mercedes-Benz C-Class, and Audi A4. The Alfa’s appeal remains tied less to outright technology and more to its chassis character and distinctive styling.
Technology and Market Position
Technology remains straightforward. The Giulia Intensa includes a 12.3-inch digital instrument display and an 8.8-inch infotainment system with navigation, paired with a Harman Kardon 14-speaker audio system with subwoofer.
The special edition carries a starting MSRP of $49,995, excluding destination charges.
Rather than reinventing the Giulia, the Intensa series refines it. The sedan keeps its familiar stance and driving focus while introducing a carefully curated set of visual signatures.
