Official images of the 2026 AITO M6 have been released, confirming its arrival as a new family-oriented SUV positioned between the AITO M5 and M7 in the brand’s range. The model is expected to launch in the second quarter, targeting the 250,000 RMB-level SUV market.
With the M5 starting at 229,800 RMB and the M7 at 279,800 RMB, the M6 is clearly intended to occupy the centre ground. It is a strategic move. This is where volume tends to sit.
Seven exterior colours will be offered at launch, including blue, purple, orange, cyan, black, white and silver, signalling an attempt to broaden its appeal across both younger buyers and traditional family customers.
Family Design Language with Sport Accents
Visually, the 2026 AITO M6 adheres closely to the brand’s established family design style. Its electric identity is further enhanced by the front end's small headlamps and closed grille design.
A three-section lower intake gives the bumper structure, and vertical air guides are placed at the outer margins of the headlamp assembly.
The effect is measured rather than dramatic. The nose appears clean, with controlled surfacing and a deliberate horizontal emphasis.
In profile, the 2026 AITO M6 rides on dual five-spoke glossy black wheels, finished with red brake calipers. The choice of black wheels and exposed red hardware introduces a sporting note without overwhelming the family-oriented brief. Semi-concealed door handles further underline the contemporary aesthetic.
The overall stance is balanced. It does not lean heavily into coupe-SUV theatrics. Instead, it reads as a practical, medium-to-large SUV shaped for daily use.
Dual Motor Electric and Range Extended Power
Under the skin, the 2026 AITO M6 will be offered in both pure electric and range-extended forms. Both configurations utilise dual motors, with the front motor rated at 160 kW and the rear motor at 180 kW.
The range-extended version incorporates a 1.5T engine producing 112 kW. Battery options for the range-extended model include 37 kWh and 53 kWh packs, while the pure electric variant is equipped with a 100 kWh battery.
Competitive Positioning and Market Context
Positioned firmly in the 250,000 RMB family SUV segment, the 2026 AITO M6 joins a very competitive market tier.
The M6 does not attempt to redefine the category. It consolidates it. With restrained styling, dual-motor capability and battery flexibility, the 2026 AITO M6 presents itself as a considered addition to the brand’s expanding SUV lineup.
