2026 AC Cars GT SuperSport

By Lorenzo Bianchi

  • AC Cars has unveiled the limited-production AC GT SuperSport.

  • Output reaches up to 1,025 bhp from a specially tuned V8 powertrain.

  • Only 25 examples will be built, with deliveries beginning in 2027.

A more extreme take on the modern AC formula

AC Cars has revealed the 2026 AC GT SuperSport, an aggressively reworked version of its modern sports car platform that pushes the company's performance ambitions further than before.

The announcement follows the establishment of AC Cars America LLC, which will oversee the model's launch in the United States. Production will be limited to just 25 examples worldwide, placing the SuperSport firmly in collector-car territory from the outset.

While AC has not released a full technical breakdown, the information available suggests this is far more than a cosmetic upgrade. The SuperSport has been developed as a significantly more focused machine, with extensive aerodynamic revisions and substantially increased power.

Familiar proportions with a more aggressive attitude

Even from the initial images, the AC GT SuperSport looks noticeably different from other recent AC models.

The familiar roadster silhouette remains intact, preserving the visual connection to the company's historic sports cars. Yet almost every visible surface appears sharpened for greater visual impact. The front fascia has been redesigned, the track widened, and a large rear wing dominates the view from behind.

The result is a car that looks lower, broader, and more planted than the standard model. There is still an unmistakable link to the Cobra bloodline, but the SuperSport adopts a far more dramatic character.

Aerodynamics become part of the design

The biggest visual changes serve a practical purpose.

AC Cars says the new bodywork incorporates extensive aerodynamic enhancements, although specific figures relating to downforce or drag have not been disclosed. As such, any estimate regarding aerodynamic performance would be [Speculation].

What is clear is that airflow management played a major role in shaping the car. Larger aero surfaces, revised body contours, and the prominent rear wing suggest a stronger focus on high-speed stability than previous AC roadsters.

Four-figure power headlines the package

The headline number attached to the AC GT SuperSport is difficult to ignore.

According to AC Cars, the specially tuned V8 powertrain can produce up to 1,025 bhp. Detailed engine specifications remain [Unverified], but the figure places the SuperSport among the most powerful road-going vehicles ever associated with the AC name.

The company describes the model as an evolution of the traditional roadster concept rather than a completely new vehicle. That approach combines familiar proportions with significantly enhanced performance potential.

Exclusivity remains central to the appeal

As impressive as the power output may be, rarity is likely to be just as important to prospective buyers.

Only 25 examples will be produced, with existing AC customers receiving priority access before new applicants are considered. Each vehicle will also be developed in consultation with its owner, allowing extensive personalization opportunities.

Pricing starts at $550,000 before taxes, while deliveries are scheduled to begin in 2027.

In a market increasingly filled with limited-run performance cars, the 2026 AC GT SuperSport takes a straightforward approach: a familiar British sports car silhouette, a very large V8, and production numbers low enough that most enthusiasts will only ever see one in photographs.
