2026 ABT RS6 Legacy Edition 800

By Lorenzo Bianchi

  • ABT raises output to 800 hp and 980 Nm using revised turbocharger and cooling upgrades.

  • Extensive carbon-fibre exterior package reshapes the RS6 Avant’s stance and airflow.

  • Production is limited to 30 examples worldwide.

ABT Turns the RS6 Avant Into Something Far More Serious

The Audi RS6 Avant has already reached a point where calling it a wagon almost feels misleading. With its wide arches, enormous power reserves, and autobahn-ready character, it has long operated closer to a supercar with a cargo area attached.

The 2026 ABT RS6 Legacy Edition 800 pushes that idea even further.

Built around the current-generation RS6, the limited-run model receives a substantial list of mechanical and aerodynamic upgrades, but unlike some tuner projects, the overall package still feels cohesive. Nothing looks randomly attached. Every surface appears designed to make the car sit lower, wider, and more aggressive without completely losing the factory Audi identity.

The front section receives perhaps the biggest visual transformation. Carbon-fibre blades, revised grille elements, and new airflow inserts give the nose a much sharper appearance, especially in darker paint finishes. The bonnet insert and gloss-black wheelhouse ventilation details add extra depth along the front fenders without becoming visually chaotic.

From side angles, the wagon’s proportions remain one of its strongest features. Long roofline, low stance, short overhangs. The carbon side skirts and satin-gold 22-inch forged wheels exaggerate that planted look even more.

800 Horsepower From a Reworked Twin Turbo V8

The centerpiece of the Legacy Edition is ABT’s Power R upgrade.

Depending on the base RS6 configuration, output climbs from either 600 hp or 630 hp to approximately 800 horsepower and 980 Nm of torque. ABT achieves this through revised turbochargers, a larger intercooler, and an upgraded oil cooler.

Those numbers place the RS6-LE 800 deep into supercar territory despite the fact it still retains the practical shape of a long-roof family car.

ABT has not released official acceleration figures in the supplied material. [Unverified] Still, with nearly 1,000 Nm available and upgraded cooling hardware supporting sustained performance, the car likely delivers relentless high-speed capability rather than just headline launch numbers. [Inference]

The exhaust system also receives revised stainless-steel outlets measuring 102 mm, adding more visual aggression to the rear diffuser area.

Suspension and Interior Receive Equal Attention

Unlike many high-output tuner builds that focus almost entirely on engine figures, the RS6 Legacy Edition also receives substantial chassis revisions.

ABT fits adjustable suspension springs and upgraded anti-roll bars to sharpen body control and improve stance. Combined with the large forged wheels and wide 295-section tires, the wagon appears significantly lower and more purposeful than the standard RS6.

Inside, the cabin gets a surprisingly extensive list of refinements. Carbon trim extends across the dashboard, shift area, and seat frames, while Alcantara appears on the steering wheel alongside gloss-carbon shift paddles. There are also illuminated entry lights, revised sill plates, embroidered floor mats, and a commemorative “130 Jahre ABT” time capsule element integrated into the interior.

Limited to Just 30 Cars Worldwide

ABT says production of the RS6 Legacy Edition 800 will be capped at 30 vehicles globally.

That exclusivity matters because high-performance RS6 builds are no longer rare. What separates this one is how complete the package feels. It is not simply an engine tune attached to cosmetic parts. The entire car has been reworked with a consistent theme from suspension to cooling system to cabin details.

The full package is priced at €108,000 before installation costs and TÜV approval.
