  • New Azzurro Cielo paint highlights the coupe's refreshed exterior details.

  • Naturally aspirated 5.5-litre V12 continues to produce 503 hp.

  • Updated heritage-inspired styling debuts alongside a restored Maserati 3500 GT.

A familiar grand tourer with a fresh identity

The 2025 Touring Superleggera Veloce12 isn't making its debut, but it still manages to draw attention at Retromobile 2025. Touring Superleggera has given its limited-production grand tourer a subtle visual refresh, introducing a new Azzurro Cielo paint finish and a handful of heritage-inspired design updates that fit naturally with the car's elegant proportions.

Rather than introducing dramatic changes, the Milanese coachbuilder has focused on refining what was already there. It's an approach that suits the Veloce12 well. The car still feels unmistakably like a Touring creation, but the latest touches give it a slightly different personality without taking away from its original appeal.

Inspired by the company's rich history

The new colour is more than just another paint option. Azzurro Cielo looks back to some of Touring Superleggera's most celebrated creations, including the Alfa Romeo 8C 2900 B Lungo, where similar shades of blue became closely associated with Italian elegance.

That connection continues with an updated Touring badge inspired by the emblem used during the 1930s. Together, the colour and revised detailing give the Veloce12 a stronger link to the company's past while allowing its flowing bodywork and sculpted surfaces to stand out even more clearly under changing light.

Crafted with long journeys in mind

Inside, the philosophy remains refreshingly straightforward. The Veloce12 isn't dominated by oversized displays or layers of digital interfaces. Instead, Touring focuses on craftsmanship, using carefully selected materials and traditional coachbuilding techniques to create an interior that feels personal rather than clinical.

It's a cabin designed for driving, but also for covering long distances in comfort. Every surface and detail reflects the brand's bespoke approach, reinforcing the feeling that each example is built for its owner rather than for mass production.

A V12 that keeps things beautifully analogue

Beneath the long bonnet sits the same naturally aspirated 5.5-litre V12, producing 503 horsepower after a comprehensive mechanical refresh carried out during the conversion process. The engine remains front-mounted, staying true to the classic grand touring formula that has defined cars like this for decades.

More importantly, Touring has resisted the temptation to dilute the driving experience. The company continues to describe the Veloce12 as an analogue grand tourer, where the sound of the V12, the throttle response and the connection between driver and machine matter just as much as the performance figures themselves.

More than a showcase car

Its appearance at Retromobile 2025 also says something about Touring Superleggera's wider philosophy. Displaying the Veloce12 alongside a beautifully restored 1959 Maserati 3500 GT creates a clear link between the company's historic coachbuilding work and its modern limited-series projects.

The 2025 Touring Superleggera Veloce12 doesn't try to chase the latest trends. Instead, it celebrates timeless design, naturally aspirated performance and handcrafted Italian craftsmanship. In today's automotive landscape, that alone makes it stand out.
