2025 Suzuki Vitara Hybrid Australian Version

  • 1.4L BoosterJet Turbo with 48V Smart Hybrid system.

  • ALLGRIP AWD available with selectable driving modes.

  • Priced from $39,990 drive away in Australia.

Smart Hybrid System and Turbocharged Output

The 2025 Suzuki Vitara Hybrid Australian Version marks a measured step into electrification for Suzuki’s compact SUV line-up. It pairs the familiar 1.4-litre BoosterJet turbocharged four-cylinder engine with Suzuki’s Smart Hybrid Vehicle by Suzuki (SHVS) 48V system.

The petrol engine produces 80.9 kW at 4,500 rpm and 235 Nm between 2,000 and 2,500 rpm, delivered through a six-stage automatic transmission. The integrated starter generator and lithium-ion battery assist during take-off and acceleration while recuperating energy under braking. There is no requirement for external charging. The system is designed to smooth throttle response and improve overall efficiency without altering the Vitara’s everyday usability.

Curb weight stands at 1,245 kg for the front-wheel-drive Turbo Hybrid and 1,275 kg for the ALLGRIP variant. Both maintain a 47-litre fuel tank and braked towing capacity of 1,200 kg.

ALLGRIP Capability and Compact Proportions

For drivers seeking additional traction, the 2025 Suzuki Vitara Hybrid Australian Version is available with Suzuki’s ALLGRIP all-wheel drive system. Selectable modes—Auto, Sport, Snow and Lock—allow the vehicle to adapt to changing road conditions. It remains a compact SUV, measuring 4,175 mm in length with a 2,500 mm wheelbase and 175 mm of ground clearance.

The proportions are upright and practical. Short overhangs, a relatively tall roofline and squared-off rear contribute to its functional stance. The minimum turning radius of 5.2 metres reinforces its urban intent, yet the AWD option broadens its appeal for regional buyers.

Exterior Detailing and Interior Layout

Visually, the Vitara Hybrid carries forward Suzuki’s established SUV language. LED headlamps and LED daytime running lights define the front signature. Seventeen-inch alloy wheels and rear privacy glass are standard on the Turbo Hybrid.

The ALLGRIP variant adds a panoramic sunroof and additional premium design elements. Two-tone paint options are available on selected colours, combining Savanna Ivory Metallic or Ice Greyish Blue Metallic with Cosmic Black Pearl.

Inside, the cabin is still simple and driver-oriented. The ALLGRIP model adds a 9-inch display and six speakers, while the Turbo Hybrid has a 7-inch infotainment system with four speakers. Along with a leather-wrapped steering wheel and a rearview camera, adaptive cruise control is standard. The Turbo Hybrid's fabric trim contrasts with the ALLGRIP's synthetic leather upholstery.

In keeping with Suzuki's focus on user-friendly operation over multi-layered digital menus, physical controls are still widely used.

Safety Suite and Pricing Structure

The 2025 Suzuki Vitara Hybrid Australian Version includes Dual Sensor Brake Support 2, Adaptive Cruise Control, Lane Departure Warning, Lane Keeping Assist, Blind Spot Monitoring and Rear Cross Traffic Alert. Six airbags are standard across the range, with front and rear parking sensors fitted to the Turbo Hybrid.

Drive-away pricing begins at $39,990 for the Vitara Turbo Hybrid and $45,990 for the Turbo Hybrid ALLGRIP, excluding premium paint options. Additionally, Suzuki provides a five-year Genuine Service Program that covers 100,000 kilometers or five scheduled services, with capped service prices specified for each interval.
