Revisiting a Quirky Classic

The 2025 Skoda Felicia Fun Concept isn’t a production car. It’s not even close. What it is, though, is a carefully considered nod to one of the strangest and most endearing models in the brand’s back catalog. Anyone who remembers the original Felicia Fun from the late 1990s will recall the bright yellow paint, the fold-down rear bulkhead that created extra jump seats, and the sheer oddball charm of a pick-up designed for leisure before the word “lifestyle” was ever tacked onto SUVs.

Modern Solid Design with Playful Details

This concept doesn’t try to copy that formula outright. Instead, designer Julien Petitseigneur has filtered the old Fun through Skoda’s current Modern Solid design language. The face is clean, geometric, and in step with the Vision 7S concept: a covered grille, slim T-shaped LEDs, and a tough-looking skid-plate lower section. The body is wider, flatter, and more architectural than the old model, but the mood is still lighthearted. You catch it in the details: the pink light bar at the rear, the tinted logos, the chunky cladding around the arches. It looks more confident than cheeky, but it hasn’t forgotten how to smile.

Cabin Nods to the 1990s

The cabin carries that same balance. Skoda’s team fitted a full-width digital display across the dashboard, deliberately styled to mimic the glow of old CRT monitors. The graphics themselves borrow from retro gaming — a playful reference that softens the otherwise clean, minimalist interior. Gone are the sliding rear seats of the original; this is strictly a two-seat study, anchored by a chunky steering wheel and oversized Skoda lettering.
