2025 Skoda 110 R Coupe Concept

By Lorenzo Bianchi

  • Radical reinterpretation of the 110 R classic, avoiding retro styling.

  • Motorsport-inspired details include roll cage, flared fenders, and center-lock wheels.

  • Hi-tech features: sliding headlight covers, camera mirrors, and illuminated logos.

Design Roots in Heritage

The original Skoda 110 R, built between 1970 and 1980, was a lightweight rear-engine coupé that inspired both enthusiasts and racing legends such as the 130 RS. Designer Richard Švec has now reimagined it for today, emphasizing geometric precision and clean, sculpted surfaces.

Motorsport Influence

The modern 110 R features flared fenders, ribbing on the hood, and a visible roll cage inside—tributes to Skoda’s racing history. Large intakes behind the side windows hint at battery cooling in this all-electric vision, maintaining the spirit of functionality.

Hi-Tech Details

Švec avoided retro lamps, opting instead for hidden headlights under sliding covers and camera-based side mirrors. The concept debuts Škoda’s Tech-loop lighting signature, an illuminated detail also seen on the Vision O. Illuminated logos on the grille, wheel covers, and rear panel underline its futuristic identity.

Digital Craftsmanship

Though sketched by hand, the 110 R Coupe Concept was finalized digitally with 3D modeling, ensuring proportions remained faithful to its sporty intent. The mix of classic inspiration and modern execution results in a design that feels both nostalgic and forward-looking.
