A Modern Reimagining of a Racing Legend
Rezvani Retro reinterprets the iconic 1970s Porsche 935 through a modern lens. The Rising RR1 emerges from the contemporary 992-generation 911 platform, but its carbon-fiber body, rounded headlights, and expansive rear wing evoke the legendary silhouette of the 935.
The RR1 600 and RR1 750 both present their own narrative. The 600 variant is powered by a 3.0-liter turbocharged flat-six delivering 600 hp, mated to either a manual or PDK transmission with rear-wheel drive. The 750 variant, based on the 911 Turbo S, upgrades to a 3.8-liter twin-turbo powerplant producing 750 hp, paired exclusively with a PDK and optional all-wheel drive.
Performance Numbers That Challenge Physics
The Rezvani RR1 delivers acceleration figures that surpass the expectations of most street-legal cars. The RR1 600 achieves 0–60 mph in approximately 3.0 seconds. The RR1 750 pushes those boundaries further with a claimed 0–60 mph time of just 2.0 seconds.
The RR1s ride on wide 20‑inch front and 21‑inch rear wheels wrapped in high-performance tires, with Brembo six-piston brakes and adaptable suspension that can be tuned for street or track applications.
Engineering Details and Visual Presence
Weight savings and aerodynamic efficiency drive the RR1’s design. Nearly all visible body panels are carbon-fiber, with doors remaining metal for added structural integrity. Dimensions exceed the standard 992’s footprint, with front and rear tracks widened by 3 and 4 inches respectively, and overall width reaching 76.9 inches—resulting in a far more assertive road presence.
Interior Finishes and Customization
Inside, the RR1 blends nostalgia with modern functionality. Leather sport seats, analog timers on the dashboard, and full Porsche infotainment ensure comfort. For track-focused clients, Rezvani offers a steel roll cage, polycarbonate windows, and other performance-minded extras.
Rezvani supports extensive customization—from unique liveries to bespoke interiors and even steering wheels with integrated shift lights, reinforcing each RR1 as a one-off collector’s piece.
Pricing and Production Strategy
Rezvani Retro will build just 50 RR1 units, each requiring the client to supply a donor 992 Porsche Carrera or Turbo S. Starting prices begin at US $195,000, excluding the donor vehicle. Fully optioned builds—incorporating bespoke paint, aero wheel covers, performance suspension, and more—can reach approximately US $290,100 . The build process spans roughly four months, and each car is individually numbered to maintain exclusivity.
