2025 Porsche Macan Gentian Blue H2
By Lorenzo Bianchi October 4, 2025
Gentian Blue Metallic brings depth and identity to Porsche’s all-electric Macan.
Dual-motor AWD and an 800-volt system deliver up to 630 hp and 0–100 km/h in 3.3 seconds.
Positioned against the BMW iX and Audi Q8 e-tron, it keeps Porsche’s edge as the driver’s EV SUV.
Color might sound like a detail, but in Porsche’s world, it’s anything but. Gentian Blue Metallic has been around in the catalog for years, but here it feels different — elevated almost, given to the first all-electric Macan as a calling card. Under sunlight the metallic particles dance, in low light it looks brooding and sharp. It’s the kind of finish that makes the already taut shape of the Macan appear more sculpted than it really is.
Design: Porsche DNA, Now Electric
The 2025 Macan rides on the new PPE platform, a shared development with Audi, and its proportions carry over much of what buyers liked about the outgoing gasoline Macan. But it’s lower, more aerodynamic, and more resolved in the details.
The front fascia wears split LED headlights, the hood lines are crisp, and the roofline still falls with coupe-like intent. Around the back, the light strip is thinner and sharper, tying the stance together. Wheels range from 19 to 22 inches, and on Gentian Blue the larger alloys push the SUV closer to a sports car silhouette than a family hauler.
Porsche has worked the aerodynamics carefully: a drag coefficient down around 0.25, active flaps, and underbody treatment that remind you this is as much an efficiency exercise as it is a style statement.
Performance: Two Flavors of Fast
Porsche keeps the 2025 Macan lineup simple at launch. Two versions, both with dual-motor all-wheel drive.
- Macan 4: 408 hp, 0–100 km/h in 5.2 seconds, WLTP range up to 613 km.
- Macan Turbo: 630 hp, 0–100 km/h in 3.3 seconds, WLTP range up to 591 km.
The shared battery is a 100 kWh pack (95 usable), and thanks to the 800-volt system, DC fast charging at up to 270 kW is possible. On the right charger, 10 to 80 percent happens in just over 20 minutes — quick enough for a coffee stop.
In Gentian Blue, the Turbo especially looks every bit as fast as those numbers suggest, its detailing setting it apart with aero tweaks and aggressive wheel designs.
On the Road: Still a Porsche
The concern with any new Porsche EV is always the same: will it still feel like a Porsche? On the Macan, early impressions say yes. Adaptive air suspension, PASM dampers, and rear-axle steering combine to shrink the SUV’s footprint when the road tightens. Torque vectoring and electronic differential work in the background, keeping things planted.
Even the “slower” Macan 4 has the balance and steering weight you expect from the badge. It’s not light — two tons is hard to disguise — but the tuning shows Porsche hasn’t lost its touch.
Inside: Digital Without Losing Warmth
Open the door and it’s clear the interior is designed around screens. A curved 12.6-inch driver’s display, 10.9-inch central touchscreen, and an optional passenger screen take center stage. But Porsche has left in physical buttons where they count — climate, drive modes, and volume aren’t buried.
The materials lean premium, with leather and metal trim as standard, and Gentian Blue pairs cleanly with most of the interior palettes. Porsche Exclusive Manufaktur will happily layer on personalized touches for those who want more than the standard look.
Connectivity is expectedly strong: wireless CarPlay and Android Auto, PCM voice control, and over-the-air updates.
