2025 Porsche 911 Carrera S 992 ll UK Version

By Lorenzo Bianchi

  • The 2025 Porsche 911 Carrera S 992 ll packs 473 hp and sharper brakes, for a real performance bump.

  • Subtle styling refreshes keep the classic shape intact—improved fascia, more aggressive stance.

  • Tech is upgraded quietly—Sport Chrono, GTS brakes, PDK auto—manual gone, but pace is up.

Edges Sharpened, Intent Made Clear

Porsche didn’t reinvent the 911’s shape — they just gave it more clarity. The front bumper’s been reshaped with larger openings, the nose now carrying more definition. It looks lower, wider, more planted. A design refresh that doesn’t try too hard.

From the side, the stance is pure sports coupe. No bloated panels, no extra drama. It's tidy and lean. Revised lighting up front and in back gives it a fresher face, but you won’t need a cheat sheet to recognize it.

A Real Power Bump, and Brakes to Match

The big move is out back. The turbocharged 3.0-liter flat-six has been tuned to produce 473 hp, up 30 over the previous version. Torque holds steady at 390 lb-ft, but delivery is snappier.

Gone is the manual transmission — only PDK remains, but it’s quick. Launch control with the Sport Chrono package gets the car from 0–60 mph in 3.1 seconds, and top speed sits at 191 mph.

And then there’s the stopping power. Porsche borrowed the brake setup from the GTS — that means 16-inch front rotors, 15-inch in back, more than enough for spirited road or track use.

Less Screen Time, More Seat Time

The interior hasn’t gone wild with tech. It’s clean and focused — a few updated controls, standard Sport Chrono, and the same driver-first layout. The 911 doesn’t chase trends inside. It just sticks to what works.

Launch control, adjustable drive modes, and throttle mapping all come bundled in now. It’s the sort of thing you feel more than notice at a glance.

It’s Still a 911 — But Quicker, Tighter

This isn’t a GTS, and it doesn’t try to be. But it nudges the Carrera S closer. Porsche didn’t just polish the badge — they backed the changes with tangible performance.

In a market full of louder alternatives — think BMW M4, maybe even the Aston Martin Vantage — the 911 takes a more measured approach. Speed without excess. Purpose without theater.

Porsche Keeps ICE Punching

While the hybrid GTS looms, the Carrera S stays combustion-only. No batteries, no hybrid overlay. Just a tuned flat-six and mechanical grip. For now, it’s still one of the few performance cars that trusts the engine to do all the talking.
