2025 Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 RS Manthey Kit

By Lorenzo Bianchi

  • Aerodynamic kit includes wider rear wing, carbon underbody, and aero discs, boosting downforce and high-speed stability.

  • Nürburgring Nordschleife lap time reduced to 7:03.121 minutes, more than six seconds faster than the standard GT4 RS.

  • Package priced from $53,946 in the U.S., available with full factory warranty through Porsche Centers.

A Cayman reworked for serious speed

The Cayman GT4 RS was already the most hardcore 718 to wear a number plate, but Porsche and Manthey Racing have taken it a step further. The Manthey Kit is not a styling exercise — it’s a complete track-focused upgrade that changes how the car moves at speed.

The front receives a mix of revised flaps, air curtains, and a Gurney flap, working with a carbon underbody and diffuser to tidy airflow and increase stability. At the rear, the wing grows 85 mm wider, with larger endplates and four adjustable settings. In its most aggressive mode, the setup produces 372 lbs of downforce at 200 km/h, a notable leap from the standard car. Carbon aero discs over the rear wheels finish the package, reducing turbulence and giving the Cayman a sharper track profile.

Suspension tuned with Manthey’s racing know-how

The chassis has been reworked with coilovers designed specifically for track work. These inverted dampers allow adjustment without tools and can be set across three stages, giving drivers more freedom to fine-tune. Front spring rates have been lifted by 20 percent, stiffening the car’s nose and helping it bite harder into fast corners.

Braking hardware has also been addressed. Steel-braided lines are included for firmer pedal feel, and Manthey offers high-performance pads as an option for those planning long stints on circuit. Track day touches such as tow hooks and illuminated Manthey-branded door sills round off the kit.

Proven on the Nürburgring

Numbers matter in this class, and Porsche wasted no time putting the Manthey-equipped GT4 RS to the test at the Nürburgring Nordschleife. Driven by brand ambassador Jörg Bergmeister, the car stopped the clock at 7:03.121 minutes, more than six seconds quicker than the standard GT4 RS.

The test conditions were kept consistent — both cars ran on Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 R tires — highlighting that the lap time gain came directly from the aerodynamic and chassis work rather than power changes.

Same flat-six heart, more usable performance

Underneath, the kit does not alter the GT4 RS’s engine. It retains the 4.0-litre naturally aspirated flat-six producing 500 PS (368 kW), paired with a seven-speed PDK dual-clutch. That means 0–100 km/h in 3.4 seconds and a top speed of 315 km/h remain untouched.

What changes is how effectively the car can deploy that performance. With more grip, more downforce, and more composure under braking, drivers can use the engine’s full reach more often and with greater confidence.

Cost, availability, and positioning

The Manthey Kit is available through official Porsche Centers in selected markets. Pricing begins at $53,946 in the U.S., with around 20 hours of installation required at approved workshops. Importantly, the package is sold with full Porsche factory warranty, an unusual offer in the world of track upgrades.

By combining warranty-backed engineering with motorsport-derived tuning, Porsche positions the Manthey Kit as a halfway step between a factory GT4 RS and a full-blown racing program. For owners who want sharper performance but still need road legality and factory support, it fills a very specific gap.
