A more accessible take on the L60 platform
The 2025 ONVO L60 RWD arrives as a strategic extension of ONVO’s mid-size electric SUV lineup. Rather than chasing higher outputs or headline-grabbing numbers, this version is about broadening appeal. Rear-wheel drive simplifies the formula, lowers complexity, and places the focus squarely on everyday usability.
The L60 itself is already established as a mid-size SUV with generous proportions, and the RWD variant keeps that foundation intact. At 4,828 mm long, 1,903 mm wide, and 1,616 mm tall, with a 2,950 mm wheelbase, the L60 sits comfortably in the heart of the segment, where space and comfort carry as much weight as performance figures.
The exterior keeps its composure
The L60 RWD makes no effort to visually separate itself from the more expensive versions, and that feels intentional. The design stays calm and measured, relying on proportion rather than trim details to carry the shape. Body surfaces are clean and unforced, and the stance is balanced without looking staged.
The long wheelbase stretches the profile in a way that adds presence, but the short overhangs stop it from feeling bulky or nose-heavy. It looks settled on its wheels, which is not always a given in this class.
Slim, horizontal lighting elements at both ends subtly emphasise width, giving the SUV a planted look without resorting to visual tricks or aggressive detailing.
There is little ornamentation, and that appears intentional. The L60’s design language favours longevity over trend, aiming to look current for years rather than seasons.
Special editions, such as the Violet Edition shown in recent official imagery, add colour and wheel design changes for buyers seeking individuality, but the underlying form stays consistent across the range.
Packaging points clearly toward the cabin
Interior images have not been fully detailed for the RWD variant. [Unverified] Still, the numbers tell much of the story. A 2,950 mm wheelbase is substantial for this class, and it strongly suggests rear-seat space was a priority from the outset.
The L60 reads as a vehicle designed around occupants rather than spectacle. [Inference] Based on existing L60 variants, the interior is likely to follow a horizontally arranged layout with a central touchscreen and digital instrumentation, emphasising clarity, visibility, and ease of use over layered design theatrics.
This is the kind of packaging that suits family duty, longer trips, and daily commuting equally well.
Electric performance tuned for balance
The 2025 ONVO L60 RWD uses a single-motor electric drivetrain producing 326 horsepower and 305 Nm of torque. Power is sent exclusively to the rear wheels, a configuration that typically favours smoother delivery and efficiency over outright traction.
Battery options include 60 kWh and 85 kWh packs, with quoted driving ranges varying by configuration. Depending on specification, ranges span from 530 km to as much as 740 km under the applicable test cycle.
Those figures place the L60 competitively within its segment, particularly for buyers prioritising range consistency over peak acceleration.
Positioning within a crowded EV segment
China’s mid-size electric SUV market is increasingly dense, with buyers weighing price, range, and interior space more carefully than ever. The 2025 ONVO L60 RWD appears designed to answer that exact brief.
By offering a rear-wheel-drive option beneath the more powerful dual-motor variants, ONVO gives buyers a clear choice. The L60 RWD is not about excess. It is about coverage, usability, and making the platform accessible to a wider audience. In that context, its restraint feels deliberate—and well judged.
