2025 Lexus LBX Vibrant Edition

By Lorenzo Bianchi

  • Production is limited to September 2025 through May 2026, making this a short-lived edition.

  • Features exclusive styling details to distinguish it from the standard LBX.

  • Retains the 1.5-liter hybrid system with optional all-wheel drive.

Production Window: Short but Deliberate

Lexus has given the LBX Vibrant Edition a fixed production run. In a segment that thrives on novelty and customization, that scarcity is part of the strategy.

Design Tweaks for More Presence

The Vibrant Edition doesn’t alter the basic footprint of the LBX—it stays compact at 4,190 mm long, 1,825 mm wide, and 1,545 mm tall. Instead, its changes are visual. Lexus is offering unique color treatments and trim options, designed to stand out against the already expressive LBX range. The brand has leaned into style-focused themes for this edition, aimed at younger urban buyers who want more than a neutral luxury crossover.

Hybrid Drivetrain Carries Over

Mechanically, nothing changes. The Vibrant Edition continues with the LBX’s 1.5-liter three-cylinder petrol engine paired with an electric motor for a combined 136 PS (100 kW). Front-wheel drive remains standard, with Lexus’ E-Four all-wheel-drive system offered as an option. Built on Toyota’s TNGA-B platform—the same as the Yaris Cross—the LBX prioritizes efficiency and urban maneuverability while giving Lexus a foothold in the entry-level premium space.

Interior: Subtle Enhancements

Inside, the cabin mirrors the standard LBX layout. Lexus’ “Tazuna” cockpit design, centered on a clear driver interface, remains the anchor. Buyers can expect the same strong material quality, touchscreen connectivity, and customizable ambient lighting. The Vibrant Edition brings small touches—special stitching, trim pieces, or themed upholstery—that align with its name and keep the interior distinct from the mainstream model.
