2025 Jaguar XF-L 90th Anniversary Collectors Edition

By Lorenzo Bianchi

  • The XF‑L 90th Anniversary Edition celebrates Jaguar’s 90-year milestone with bespoke styling, added rear-seat space, and luxury enhancements.

  • Interior upgrades include massage-capable 16-way seats, four-zone climate, and a premium Meridian audio setup.

  • Priced from approximately 299,800 CNY (roughly €39,400), it's limited to key international markets with a focus on China.

A Familiar Silhouette, Subtly Reworked

This edition isn’t about flash. Jaguar isn’t reinventing the XF, and frankly, that’s not the point here. What you get is the long-wheelbase version—marketed as the XF‑L—with a few tasteful nods to the brand’s 90-year journey.

The body is stretched about 140 mm over the standard car, giving the XF‑L a noticeably more formal presence, especially from the rear doors back. Gloss black trim surrounds the grille, vents, and window frames. The 20-inch diamond-cut wheels add some flash, but even those feel carefully chosen. It's elegant, restrained, and clearly aimed at buyers who appreciate subtleties over statements.

Inside, It’s Business-Class on Four Wheels

The updates inside tell a clearer story. Jaguar didn’t just reupholster the seats and call it a day. They’ve added 16-way electric front seats with memory, massage, heating, and cooling functions.

Rear-seat passengers benefit most from the extra wheelbase. Four-zone climate control ensures comfort, while the 400-watt Meridian sound system fills the extended cabin with clean, balanced audio. Materials are solid: quality leather, aluminum trim, and an ebony headliner give the interior a premium, slightly conservative tone that suits the car’s mission.

Powertrain Carries Over—Quietly Competent

Under the hood, no surprises. The Collectors Edition sticks with Jaguar’s proven 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engines, available in 246 hp and 296 hp variants, depending on the market.

It’s not a performance-focused edition, and Jaguar isn’t pretending otherwise. The engine is refined, paired to an 8-speed automatic, and delivers smooth power with minimal fuss. It’s tuned more for cruising comfort than backroad thrills, which fits the character of this long-wheelbase saloon.

The XF‑L Collectors Edition is primarily targeted at China, where long-wheelbase sedans remain a symbol of status and comfort.

Pricing starts around 299,800 yuan—about €39,400 in direct conversion. That puts it in a competitive space against locally produced long-wheelbase versions of the BMW 5 Series and Mercedes‑E-Class. Jaguar isn’t chasing volume with this model. It’s positioning the car as a premium, final flourish for buyers who’ve stuck with the XF lineage.
