Sharper Exterior with a Clearer Identity
The 2025 Hyundai Bayon UK Version receives a visual update that brings it closer in line with Hyundai’s newer crossover language. From the front, the most noticeable change is the full-length Horizon LED daytime running light bar, now standard across the range. It stretches the car visually, giving the compact Bayon a wider, more grounded stance in press images.
LED headlights and taillights are also standardised, paired with a redesigned front bumper and revised grille mesh. At the rear, subtle bumper reshaping tightens the overall look without altering the Bayon’s compact proportions. New 16- and 17-inch alloy wheel designs add definition to the side profile, while four new exterior colours expand the palette to nine options in total. On Premium trim, buyers can specify a contrasting black roof and mirrors, lending the Bayon a more customised appearance.
Standard Driver Assistance and Safety
Even at the entry level, safety gear is extensive. Lane keep assist, lane follow assist, intelligent speed limit assistance, rear parking sensors, a reversing camera, and forward collision avoidance with pedestrian and cyclist detection are among the standard features. Front parking sensors are added to Premium and Ultimate models, and blind-spot collision warning is added to the Ultimate model. Additional collision avoidance features and adaptive cruise control are added to the system suite by an optional Driver Assistance Pack.
Interior Updates Focused on Comfort and Personalisation
Inside, Hyundai has concentrated on detail rather than reinvention. A new Vibrant Blue interior colour pack is available across all trims, adding blue accents to door panels, air vents and stitching against a black dashboard and upholstery. Multi-colour ambient lighting, with 64 selectable shades, reinforces the Bayon’s more youthful positioning in the segment.
Technology remains a strong point. All versions feature a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster alongside a 10.25-inch central touchscreen with satellite navigation, live services, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The layout is familiar but effective, with clear graphics and a straightforward interface. Higher trims introduce additional comforts, including heated front seats and steering wheel, wireless phone charging, and a Bose premium sound system on Ultimate models. A glass sunroof with electric tilt and slide is exclusive to the top specification.
Powertrain and On-Road Character
Across the UK lineup, the Bayon continues with a single engine choice: a 1.0-litre three-cylinder turbocharged T-GDi petrol unit producing 100 PS. Buyers can choose between a six-speed manual transmission or a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic. Torque output differs slightly depending on gearbox, with the automatic offering a higher peak figure.
Performance is modest rather than sporty, but well suited to the Bayon’s urban and suburban role. The focus remains on efficiency and ease of use, with light steering and a compact footprint that suits tight city streets. Hyundai has not announced any hybrid or electric variant for the Bayon at this stage [Unverified], leaving electrification duties to other models in its range.
Safety and Driver Assistance as Standard
Safety equipment is comprehensive even at entry level.
Positioning in the UK Crossover Market
Priced from £22,480, the 2025 Bayon remains positioned as an accessible alternative to larger compact SUVs.It targets buyers who want SUV-style design and a high seating position without the size or cost of a C-segment model. With its latest updates, the Bayon strengthens its appeal in a crowded B-segment by offering strong standard equipment, fresh design touches and a competitive price point.
