2025 GAC Motor Trumpchi GS8 Pilot Series

Recently, we learned from the official that the GAC Trumpchi GS8 five-seat luxury version will be launched on May 28. The new car is positioned as a mid-size SUV. Compared with the 6-seat and 7-seat models on sale, the price is expected to be further reduced, and it will have a more spacious second row and trunk space.
According to the official interior pictures, the new car will have a trunk with a maximum width of 1120mm and a depth of 2120mm, with a sunken space design inside. The second row headroom is 960mm and the legroom is 930mm. In addition, we can see that the new car uses a black + light brown interior, and the seats are equipped with a diamond pattern design, creating a good sense of luxury.
In terms of appearance, the new car is expected to be consistent with the current 6-seater/7-seater models, still equipped with a large-size grille and matrix-shaped LED headlights. In terms of the rear, the new car will adopt a longitudinal taillight group, and also have two chrome exhausts and spoilers on both sides, which are full of sportiness. The body size is expected to be a little shorter than the current model, which is 5015/1950/1780mm in length, width and height respectively, and has a wheelbase of 2920mm.
In terms of power, the new car is expected to continue the current power, with pure fuel and hybrid versions. The fuel version is equipped with a 2.0T GDI engine with a maximum power of 252 horsepower and a peak torque of 400 Nm. The transmission system is matched with Aisin's 8-speed automatic transmission and BorgWarner's sixth-generation torque manager four-wheel drive system. The hybrid version is equipped with the THS hybrid system in cooperation with Toyota, which is composed of a 2.0T four-cylinder turbocharged engine (190 horsepower) and an electric motor (182 horsepower).
