A Sharper, More Confident Mach-E
The 2025 Ford Mustang Mach-E Australian Version feels like a car that’s grown into itself. Ford hasn’t changed the formula dramatically, but this model year refines nearly everything that matters — range, efficiency, and everyday livability. The result is an EV that finally feels ready to compete on Australia’s fast-evolving electric stage.
For 2025, Ford Australia has confirmed three trims: the Select, Premium, and GT. Pricing starts at $64,990 for the base model and stretches to $97,990 for the performance-focused GT (before on-road costs). Each variant gets its own flavour of performance, from urban-friendly range to track-inspired thrust.
Refined Design, Same Familiar Silhouette
The Mach-E still looks distinctively Mustang, even as an electric SUV. Its long nose, coupe-like roofline, and powerful haunches give it more presence than most crossovers in its class. Subtle tweaks this year include a tidier grille design, new paint options — Velocity Blue, Terrain, and Glacier Grey — and fresh wheel designs across the range. It’s a restrained update, but one that tightens up the overall impression.
Inside, Ford has focused on usability over flash. The minimalist cabin keeps its signature 15.5-inch vertical touchscreen with SYNC 4A infotainment, backed by wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and a 10.2-inch digital driver display. There’s no over-design here — just a logical, comfortable space with plenty of legroom and thoughtful material choices.
Real Range, Real Usability
The biggest changes lie under the skin. The Select RWD gets a 73 kWh battery with an estimated 470 km range, while the Premium RWD Extended Range stretches that to 600 km. Step up to the GT AWD, and things get more serious — 434 kW, 955 Nm, and a 0–100 km/h sprint in just 3.7 seconds.
Charging performance has also improved, with DC fast-charging capability that can add 107 km of range in about 10 minutes on compatible high-speed chargers. Ford has tuned the software to make power delivery smoother and regenerative braking more intuitive — small changes that make the Mach-E easier to live with daily.
