2025 Ford Bronco Silver Lake Dunes Project
By Lorenzo Bianchi August 19, 2025
The Silver Lake Dunes Project vehicles are one-off concepts celebrating the Bronco’s 60th anniversary, featuring Azure Gray paint accented by sunset gradient graphics that recall Lake Michigan and Silver Lake Sand Dunes.
Custom visuals include painted fenders, tow hooks, and heritage-style wheels, supported by Ford Performance accessories like bull bars, Yakima paddleboard carriers, and Rigid light bars for off-road readiness.
Though not available for sale, Ford positions the project as inspiration for owners, constructed using off-the-shelf accessories and vinyl graphics that could be replicated at home.
Design That Echoes Dunes and Dusk
Ford's Silver Lake Dunes Project captures the dynamic hues of Michigan’s Silver Lake Sand Dunes. Designers draped both the Bronco and Bronco Sport in Azure Gray, then added gradient graphics—orange, pink, purple, and blue—reminiscent of sand meeting water and a sky streaked by sunset. The visuals are more than paint: they create mood and connection to place.
Both models pause the line between concept and achievable build. Functional accessories are sourced from Ford Performance catalogs. These vehicles sport Yakima paddleboard carriers, Rigid LED light bars, and modular front-end bull bars (standard on certain trims). The setup reinforces that this project remains grounded in practicality.
Visual Accents Elevate Each Model
Details set these concepts apart. The full-size Bronco wears bronco heritage wheels painted black tucked into rugged BFGoodrich T/A K03 tires. The Bronco Sport borrows Mustang Mach-E Rally wheels finished in black, wrapped in BFGoodrich XL T/TERTRA tires. Painted fenders and color-coordinated tow hooks pair with subtle “Bronco” badges to complete the dune-themed aesthetic.
An Exercise in Customization — and Storytelling
Ford clarifies that these are concept vehicles, not parts of a retail program. Their role: inspire enthusiasts. From vinyl graphics to roof racks and lighting accessories, the builds reflect what an owner could realistically assemble using Ford's aftermarket inventory and local installers.
In doing so, Ford reconnects with its off-road roots—Silver Lake has long served as a testing ground and rallying point for the Bronco community. The project links the vehicle’s heritage with modern expression, encouraging owners to build their own narrative.
