A New Flagship Moment for Chevrolet Brazil

The 2025 Chevrolet Blazer EV marks a watershed moment for the brand in Brazil, representing Chevrolet's bigger journey to electrification. Positioned as a premium electric SUV, the Blazer EV is presented in RS trim, the most full specification currently available globally, indicating clear goal rather than experimenting.

Built on General Motors’ Ultium platform, the Blazer EV brings together performance, range, and digital integration in a way that reshapes Chevrolet’s presence in the Brazilian EV market. It is not framed as an incremental step, but as a reference point for what the brand intends electric vehicles to be going forward.


Design Defined by Proportion and Presence

Visually, the Blazer EV leans into proportions more often associated with performance crossovers than traditional SUVs. It is longer, wider, and lower than segment norms, giving it a planted appearance that is easily recognizable from press images. Athletic body surfacing, a dropped roofline, and huge 21-inch wheels all contribute to its performance-oriented personality.

The absence of a conventional ignition button sets the tone, while ambient lighting integrated into the dashboard air vents adds a visual link to Chevrolet’s performance heritage. Brazilian designers were involved in shaping the exterior, a detail reflected in the way the design balances drama with everyday usability.


Powertrain Performance and Driving Character

In RS specification, the Blazer EV is equipped with a rear-mounted electric motor producing 347 hp, enabling a 0–100 km/h time of 5.8 seconds. Despite its size and weight, acceleration remains immediate and controlled, aided by a low center of gravity created by battery placement beneath the floor.

Three predefined driving modes—Normal, Sport, and Snow—alter steering and pedal response, while a customizable mode allows drivers to fine-tune behavior further. One Pedal driving is adjustable in intensity, enabling near brake-free urban driving when set to maximum regeneration.


Range, Charging, and Ultium Architecture

Energy is supplied by a 102 kWh battery pack made up of 12 Ultium modules. Certified range reaches 481 km under the Inmetro cycle, placing the Blazer EV among the longest-range electric SUVs available in Brazil.

Charging capabilities range from 22 kW on AC to 190 kW on DC fast chargers, allowing the battery to recharge to more than 80 percent in around 40 minutes under optimal conditions. Battery pre-conditioning supports faster charging sessions, reinforcing its suitability for longer journeys.


Connectivity and Market Positioning

The Blazer EV’s digital experience is centered on a fully configurable virtual cockpit made up of 11-inch and 17.7-inch screens. Google built-in replaces smartphone projection as the core interface, integrating Google Maps, Assistant, and Play directly into the vehicle. Combined with OnStar and the myChevrolet app, the system supports route planning, charging management, and smart home integration.

Pre-orders are scheduled to open in August, when pricing will be announced. Positioned above mainstream EVs and closer to luxury offerings, the 2025 Chevrolet Blazer EV establishes itself as a technological and performance-led statement rather than a cautious entry.
