Tiggo 7L Expands the Tiggo Portfolio
Official images of the 2025 Chery Automobiles Tiggo 7L have been released, confirming its position as a new compact SUV within the Tiggo 7 series. The first quarter of 2026 is when the vehicle is expected to go on sale.
It will function as a pure gasoline product inside the growing Tiggo family.
In 2024, Chery had already announced intentions to expand its Tiggo lineup to include the 5, 7, 8, and 9 series. Within that framework, the 7 series is positioned around value and cost effectiveness, while the 8 acts as the core sales driver and the 9 carries flagship status. The 7L is expected to reinforce the series’ mainstream appeal.
Natural Power Aesthetics and Front-End Identity
The 2025 Chery Automobiles Tiggo 7L adopts the Tiggo family’s “Natural Power Aesthetics” design language. At the centre of the front fascia sits the familiar large “big mouth” grille, which spans nearly the entire face of the vehicle. Its three-dimensional structure adds depth, while the grille seamlessly integrates into the headlight assemblies.
Each headlamp unit contains two LED light bodies, and the daytime running lights take on a distinctive boomerang shape. Large air guides positioned on both sides of the bumper introduce visual width and a degree of functional intent.
The overall effect is assertive without being theatrical. The proportions remain upright and practical, consistent with a compact SUV designed for daily usability rather than overt sportiness.
Rear Lighting and Exterior Cohesion
At the rear, the 2025 Chery Automobiles Tiggo 7L features newly designed wave-shaped taillights connected by a black trim strip. The horizontal link visually widens the vehicle and provides a recognisable light signature.
The design does not attempt radical reinvention. Instead, it refines established Tiggo cues, maintaining continuity within the brand’s broader SUV portfolio.
Interior Layout and Material Focus
Inside, the cabin is finished in an amber brown colour scheme. A wraparound cockpit design defines the dashboard architecture, with extensive use of soft-touch materials throughout.
A large floating central control screen anchors the centre stack, accompanied by a wireless charging panel and retained physical buttons. A practical approach to usability is demonstrated by the choice to maintain tactile controls in addition to the digital interface.
Ambient lighting with 256 colour options blends with music rhythm to create a more expressive interior atmosphere. It is a feature often associated with higher segments, here integrated into a value-focused compact SUV.
Gasoline Powertrain and Market Context
Official powertrain figures for the 2025 Chery Automobiles Tiggo 7L have not yet been released. The model is confirmed as a pure gasoline vehicle.
For reference, the Tiggo 7 PLUS uses a 1.6T turbocharged engine producing 197 horsepower (145 kW) and 290 Nm of torque.
