The 2025 BMW 7 Series Gary Player Signature G70 arrives as a one-off commission from BMW Group South Africa, created through BMW Individual Manufaktur to honour the golf legend on his 90th birthday. It’s also tied to a charitable auction supporting the Blair Atholl Pre-Primary School, giving this flagship sedan a purpose beyond the showroom.

Seen in photos, the car doesn’t shout for attention. Instead, it carries itself with the kind of quiet confidence you’d expect from a bespoke M760e xDrive, shaped more by story than by specification.

Exterior Designed Around Heritage

The first thing that catches the eye is the two-tone paintwork: Black Sapphire Metallic over Dravit Grey Metallic. It’s subtle, almost reserved, but the contrast is enough to highlight the long, crisp lines of the G70 body. In person, it would likely read as dignified rather than dramatic.

On the C-pillar, BMW has laser-engraved Gary Player’s signature. It’s not oversized or aggressively framed—just clean and deliberate. A small mark that tells you the car is one of one.

One of the more human touches comes from Player himself. During a visit to BMW Group Plant Dingolfing, he personally fitted the BMW emblem onto the car during its final assembly. It’s a detail that doesn’t affect the engineering, but it adds a moment of connection between the man and the machine.

Inside, the cabin follows the same approach: understated, with meaning baked into the materials. BMW confirms hand-finished upholstery, embroidered elements and custom trim pieces referencing Player’s career and heritage. BMW has also paired the vehicle with a curated accessory set. PXG items accompany a Montblanc-crafted key box, which houses both the key and a bespoke writing instrument.
