The 2025 Bentley Flying Spur arrives with updated hybrid powertrains and a streamlined engine lineup focused on electrified luxury.

Exterior design tweaks are subtle but calculated—slightly sharper, slightly cleaner, with a continued focus on dynamic presence.

The W12 is gone, marking the end of an era and the start of Bentley’s electrification-first direction.
A Turning Point for Bentley’s Grand Sedan
With the release of the 2025 Bentley Flying Spur, the brand’s flagship sedan has officially crossed a line it’s been inching toward for a while. The W12 is out. Hybrids are in. And yet, it still manages to look and feel like the most Bentley thing on the road.
There’s a kind of restrained elegance to this new Flying Spur. The design hasn’t been radically reimagined—it didn’t need to be. But the details have been worked over with care. The grille is still massive, unapologetically so, but it sits a touch more upright now. The front bumper has been cleaned up too. Fewer lines, fewer distractions. It’s sleeker, but still imposes itself with the same road presence that’s defined the model for years.
From the side, the proportions remain long and low, with that unmistakable shoulder line running almost taut from fender to taillight. The haunches feel more pronounced, like the designers have gently inflated the car’s rear quarters just enough to give it presence without overstatement.
Goodbye W12, Hello Hybrid
The biggest story, though, is what’s under the skin. The legendary 6.0-liter W12, once the cornerstone of Bentley’s power and prestige, is no more. In its place, the Flying Spur lineup now leans into the brand’s hybrid offerings—led by the Flying Spur Azure Hybrid and Speed Hybrid models.
These aren’t silent luxury pods. Bentley’s hybrid systems are tuned for urgency as much as serenity. There’s still thrust. There’s still drama. But it now arrives with a lot less guilt—and more relevance for a world moving on from combustion excess.
Inside: Still a Bentley, Just Smarter
Inside, nothing feels sacrificed. If anything, the cabin looks more resolved than before. The rotating center display is still there, which somehow hasn’t gotten old. Materials remain impeccable—leathers, woods, knurled metal all present and obsessively finished. But what’s changed is the tech integration. It's smoother now, more seamless—not a word Bentley likes to overuse, but fair here.
The rear seat experience gets a small but meaningful update as well, with the new Bentley Rear Entertainment system. Think dual 10.1-inch screens and detachable Android devices, wrapped in leather and subtly stitched into the back of the front seats. It’s both excessive and tasteful, which is Bentley’s whole thing, really.
Rivals Watch Closely as Bentley Moves Ahead
The 2025 Bentley Flying Spur enters a strange moment in luxury car history. While brands like Rolls-Royce chase full electrification with the Spectre, Bentley is walking a more incremental path. And in doing so, it may have landed on the right mix of tradition and transition—at least for now.
