2014 Maserati Ghibli Ermenegildo Zegna Edition Concept

Maserati unveiled the Ghibli Ermenegildo Zegna Edition Concept at the 2014 Paris Motor Show as a world premiere, marking the brand's centenary year.
The exterior wears an exclusive triple-layer Azzurro Astro paint finish alongside 20-inch Urano wheels in a custom "Liquid Metal" colour.
Power comes from the Ghibli S Q4's 410 HP twin-turbo V6, with four-wheel drive, a claimed 0-100km/h time of 4.8 seconds and a top speed of 284km/h.
Maserati used its 100th anniversary to show off something new on the Ghibli front at the 2014 Paris Motor Show: a one-off concept built with Italian tailoring house Ermenegildo Zegna. The Ghibli Ermenegildo Zegna Edition Concept followed a Quattroporte Zegna Limited Edition that had already sold out at 100 units, and Maserati picked the smaller sedan as the next step in that partnership.
Exterior Design and Stance
Rather than reshaping any body panels, the concept leans entirely on colour and finish to set itself apart from the standard Ghibli S Q4. The headline feature is a new Azzurro Astro paint, built up in three layers of pigment that Maserati says deepen the shine and shift between brighter blue tones and darker ash grey depending on the light. Aluminium pigments in the mix are meant to sharpen the car's existing surface lines rather than change them. Sitting underneath are 20-inch Urano wheels finished in a specially developed shade Maserati calls Liquid Metal — a detail meant to read as sporty and high-tech rather than flashy.
Interior Space and Technology
Fittingly for a project built around a fashion house, the real story is inside the cabin. Poltrona Frau natural-colour leather runs throughout, paired with Zegna's micro-chevron silk weave — the same fabric collaboration developed for the earlier Quattroporte Zegna car. Seats combine extra fine grain leather with light grey contrast stitching around a central silk insert, itself woven in a three-dimensional macro-chevron pattern. Door panels get a matching salt-and-pepper silk jersey with diagonal roll stitching, and that same fabric extends up into the roof lining, pillars and sunshades, each carrying an "Ermenegildo Zegna Exclusively for Maserati" label underneath. Glossy carbon fibre trims the centre tunnel and door panels, while the floor mats and door sills are machined from billet aluminium, with an Ermenegildo Zegna Edition plate applied to the centre tunnel and pillar.
Powertrain and Performance
Under the concept's specially finished bodywork sits the Ghibli S Q4's regular hardware: a 410 HP twin-turbo V6 driving all four wheels through Maserati's Q4 system. Maserati quotes a 0-100km/h time of 4.8 seconds, helped along by 550Nm of torque, and a top speed of 284km/h.
Practical Usability
Because this is a styling and materials concept rather than a mechanical one, day-to-day usability tracks whatever the standard Ghibli S Q4 already offered — Maserati's press material doesn't call out any functional changes tied specifically to the Zegna treatment.
