2026 Toyota bZ Woodland BEV

By Team Dailyrevs

  • Powerful Performance: 375 hp with standard AWD and 3,500 lbs towing capacity.

  • Off-Road Ready: 8.3-inch ground clearance, X-MODE with Grip Control, and optional all-terrain tires.

  • Enhanced Charging: 74.7 kWh battery, NACS port, and 10-80% DC fast charging in ~30 minutes.

Trail-Focused Design with Everyday Practicality

Toyota didn’t just slap a badge on this one. The 2026 bZ Woodland BEV looks and feels like a serious step toward outdoor-ready electrics. The body is a bit boxier than other bZ models, which works well here—form meets function. Overfenders and black trim make it look purpose-built.

It rides taller too—8.3 inches of ground clearance, which is solid for an EV crossover. That extra ride height plus a longer wheelbase adds more cargo room in back, and visually, it just looks more planted. Stepping Stone gray and Raven Black give it a clean, utilitarian look, though Trueno Blue is the wild card in the lineup.

Dual-Motor Power with Real Pulling Capability

Underneath the skin, Toyota’s not phoning it in. The dual-motor AWD setup makes a combined 375 horsepower. That’s plenty for climbing trails and merging onto the freeway alike.

Toyota claims up to 3,500 pounds of towing capacity—practical if you're hauling a small trailer or gear for the weekend. Grip Control and X-MODE are onboard too, which tweak throttle and traction management for better low-speed control on loose surfaces.

Battery, Range, and Charging Setup

The Woodland runs on a 74.7 kWh lithium-ion pack. Estimated range? Around 260 miles—not groundbreaking, but realistic for the size and intent. You’re trading some range for capability here.

Charging is handled by Toyota’s adoption of the North American Charging Standard (NACS), and with DC fast charging, the bZ Woodland can go from 10 to 80 percent in roughly 30 minutes. Battery pre-conditioning is also included, which is especially useful in colder regions.

Cabin Comfort with Rugged Sensibility

Inside, the bZ Woodland sticks with familiar Toyota EV touches: SofTex seating, plenty of digital real estate, and a usable, not overly flashy layout. The 14-inch infotainment touchscreen dominates the dash, while dual wireless charging pads and USB-C ports make life easier on the road.

Opt for the Premium Package and you get extras like a panoramic glass roof, ventilated front seats, and a JBL audio system that doesn’t distort when cranked. It’s clearly aimed at folks who like their adventures with a bit of comfort baked in.

Where It Lands in the Market

Toyota hasn’t shared pricing yet, but this one’s clearly aimed at buyers who want something more rugged than a regular EV crossover. Think Subaru Solterra or Hyundai Ioniq 5, but with a bit more purpose off pavement.

The 2026 bZ Woodland BEV doesn’t shout. But it’s doing something few electric SUVs are: making adventure feel like a built-in feature, not a mod kit. And that matters.
