Volkswagen will release a new smart pure electric category and announce its official name at the upcoming 18th Beijing International Auto Show. At the same time, the first new car in the new category - "ID.UNYX" will also be unveiled at the Beijing Auto Show. All new cars under the new category will use a unique and eye-catching golden Volkswagen brand logo .

The debut of Gold Label Volkswagen is an important milestone in Volkswagen's "in China, for China" strategy. Gold has rich connotations: sense of value, hope, harvest, etc. In addition to the logo, gold elements will be used throughout the user journey, safeguarding each owner’s uniqueness and self-expression and making them stand out in the crowd. At the same time, the golden Volkswagen brand logo also symbolizes the quality of gold, adhering to Volkswagen's brand promise of safety and reliability to users.

The debut of this new category is an important milestone in Volkswagen's "In China, for China" strategy, and it is also "another piece" of the Volkswagen brand's layout in China. It will bring the Volkswagen brand's smart electrified products and services into to a whole new market segment. It is worth mentioning that the first new car under the new category, "ID.UNYX" will also be unveiled at the Beijing Auto Show. It is positioned as a compact pure electric coupe SUV and will be launched in China later this year.

The new vehicles under the new category will be developed and manufactured by Volkswagen's Hefei Intelligent Connected Electric Vehicle Center in Anhui, which is a key part of Volkswagen's accelerated transformation to an intelligent network and a sustainable future. Currently, the center has formed a complete value chain covering production, R&D, testing, sales and marketing, and customer service, focusing on the production of the next generation of electric, intelligent, and fully connected vehicles.
