By Team Dailyrevs May 19, 2025
The 2025 Skoda Enyaq 85 boasts a sleek "Modern Solid" design with improved aerodynamics, achieving a drag coefficient of 0.245.
-
Equipped with a 77 kWh usable battery, it offers a WLTP range of up to 588 km and supports fast charging up to 135 kW.
-
Pricing starts at £39,010 for the SE L 60 variant, with the 85 Edition priced around £44,300, making it competitive in the EV SUV segment.
A Subtle Yet Sharper Look
The 2025 Skoda Enyaq doesn’t throw its past look away — it evolves it. Skoda’s “Modern Solid” design language makes its debut here, and while it might sound like marketing-speak, it lands well. The updated Tech-Deck Face replaces a traditional grille with gloss black trim and integrates a full-width LED Light Band, giving it a slick, more premium look.
It still sits squarely in the mid-size SUV sweet spot: 4,658 mm long, 1,879 mm wide, and with a drag coefficient now down to 0.245, the whole shape is smoother through the air.
Inside: Clean, Calm, and Surprisingly Premium
The interior is where things get interesting. Skoda didn’t overthink it. Materials are sustainable — like recycled fabrics and eco trims — but the layout remains familiar. There’s a new 13-inch central touchscreen, sitting above a slim row of physical buttons. Thankfully, they didn’t ditch all the hard controls.
You also get a 5.3-inch driver display, smart ambient lighting, and useful touches like multiple USB-C ports and a variable boot floor. It’s smartly packaged, with function winning over flash.
New 85 Model Brings More Range and Punch
The Enyaq 85 is the new sweet spot. It’s got a rear-mounted motor making 210 kW (282 hp) and a strong 545 Nm of torque, enough to hit 0–100 km/h in 6.7 seconds. The 77 kWh battery is carried over but tweaked to deliver a WLTP range of up to 588 km.
Charging speeds improve too — 10–80% in about 28 minutes on a 135 kW DC charger. It’s not blistering fast, but it’s a noticeable bump from earlier models.
Value Still Comes Standard
Pricing starts at £39,010 for the SE L 60 and around £44,300 for the Enyaq 85 Edition. That puts it up against the Volkswagen ID.4, Hyundai Ioniq 5, and even the base Ford Explorer EV. But the Enyaq holds its own — especially with its clean cabin, practical range, and well-balanced spec.
Skoda’s not chasing luxury here — they’re aiming for real-world usefulness. And that’s exactly where the Enyaq still shines.
